Code Vein 2: Halberd Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Halberds in Code Vein 2 control space. Where Hammers close gaps and stagger, and Swords punish openings, Halberds define the area around the player — wide horizontal sweeps that catch groups, thrusts that reach single targets at extended range, and spinning Formae that hit everything nearby.

They're the game's dominant crowd-control weapon class. All 17 confirmed Halberd locations are tracked across MapMaster's Code Vein 2 interactive maps.

How Halberds Work in Code Vein 2

Halberds are mid-range weapons with a blade attached to a long shaft, designed for both wide slashes and precise thrusts.

Light attacks execute horizontal arcs covering a broad area. Heavy attacks deliver overhead slams or charging thrusts with reach well beyond standard melee range.

The signature combat skill performs a full spinning sweep, hitting everything surrounding the player — the primary reason Halberds are favoured against groups of Elite Enemies.

The trade-off is mobility: Halberds sacrifice defensive stance quality for that reach, and their sweeps consume stamina at a meaningful rate during sustained engagements.

The Rising Twirl and Slicing Vortex Combat Formae are the go-to offensive upgrades — Rising Twirl found on MagMell Island, Slicing Vortex sold by Jadwiga's Minion in the Refugee Village on The Continent.

Both extend the Halberd's AoE capabilities beyond the base moveset. Mastering any Halberd and speaking to Lavinia at the MagMell Hub unlocks the Halberd Mastery Booster — a permanent +4 Dexterity bonus plus increased light attack chain speed.

Halberd Scaling: Strength, Dexterity, and the Garnet Splitter Exception

Most Halberds scale with Strength and Dexterity — confirmed by Fextralife for the full weapon class. The balance varies: the Impaler scales primarily with Dexterity for faster, more agile combos; Pisar's Venom Pike splits between Strength and Dexterity for balanced output; heavier options like Iron Mass: Heavy Halberd weight toward Strength.

The Hero Valentin Blood Code — which provides balanced Strength and Dexterity attributes — is the most commonly cited Halberd Blood Code in build guides.

The Garnet Splitter is the outlier. Its charged strong attack consumes Ichor to unleash a blood-element slash — making it the only Halberd in the guide that demands a Mind investment alongside the standard STR/DEX build.

It requires VIP Pass: Silver to unlock at Jadwiga's shop in the MagMell Hub — a new VIP tier above Iron and Bronze.

Four Ways Halberds Are Acquired in Code Vein 2

• Merchant purchases: Pelagic Spear (The Continent, Minion behind Tower of Regeneration), VK Halberd (Refugee Village Minion), Black Halberd (Pioneer Castle Minion), Pisar's Venom Pike (Continent Minion on concrete structure), and Bardiche (Ruined Town Minion).

• VIP Pass-gated: Garnet Splitter — MagMell Hub, Jadwiga, requires VIP Pass: Silver.

• Chest finds: Iron Mass: Heavy Halberd (The Continent, ruined road chest), Ancient Hunter's Halberd (Cliff Underground Ruins mess hall upper floor), Impaler (Forest Complex chest next to shelves).

• Enemy drops: Nameless Halberd — guaranteed drop from the Ravenous Predator boss in Crystal Grotto. Five additional Halberds are RNG enemy drops:

• Sunset Halberd (The Continent bridge enemy)
• Judgement Halberd Gregory (The Continent road enemy)
• Tainted Halberd (Ruins mobs)
• Lost Bardiche (Sanatorium 2277 - The Present upper floor enemy)
