Code Vein 2: Booster Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

A Booster in Code Vein 2 does two things at once: it raises one of your six base attributes, and it potentially activates Trait effects on your equipment that wouldn't fire without the stat threshold being met.

They're not cosmetic — equipping the right Booster can unlock a Trait that changes how a weapon, Defensive Forma, or Blood Code performs in combat.

All confirmed Booster locations are tracked on MapMaster's Code Vein 2 interactive maps.

What Boosters Do: Stats, Traits, and Conditions

Every Booster provides a passive benefit as long as it's equipped and its conditions are met. Stat Boosters simply raise one attribute by a flat amount — +2 per Booster — with no special conditions.

These are useful for removing an Overburden on a specific stat without changing your Blood Code.

Weapon Mastery Boosters go further: a +4 stat increase plus a meaningful attack bonus for a specific weapon type, with the bonus scaling as that weapon is upgraded.

Some Boosters have conditional Traits — effects that only activate when specific requirements are met, such as belonging to a particular Bloodline, maintaining a certain HP threshold, or chaining attacks without being hit.

Three Ways to Acquire Boosters

  • World chests — a small number of Boosters are fixed chest finds in the open world. These are the locations tracked in the MapMaster checklist.

  • Lavinia at MagMell Hub — after the Vanquishing Heroes quest becomes active, speak to Lavinia whenever you've maxed out a Blood Code's proficiency. She gives one Booster per maxed Code — a significant ongoing reward for players who actively invest in the Bloodline system.

  • Extraction at Jadwiga's Minion — Boosters can also be produced by bringing materials to the equipment transformation workshop at any of Jadwiga's Minion merchant stations. This is the primary method for obtaining Boosters that don't have fixed world locations. Check with NPCs at the Hub for the required materials list.

Overburden: Penalty and Build Tool

Every Booster adds to your total Burden. If the Burden on a given stat exceeds your Blood Code's attribute value for that stat, your character enters an Overburdened state on that attribute.

This isn't purely negative — Overburden applies both penalties and conditional benefits depending on how it's managed, and several Booster Traits are specifically designed to fire when you're Overburdened, making intentional Overburden a viable build strategy.

If you're not building around it, use Stat Boosters to push your attributes just above the threshold your equipped gear requires.
