Code Vein 2: NPC Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide
In Code Vein II, NPC locations are often tied to the Timeline Shift system. While many reside permanently at the MagMell Hub (The Present: 2277), others are found in the "Era of Heroes" (the past) or acting as merchants in specific outposts.
When interacting with an NPC, remember the following:
- Talk to your partners at the Hub to receive "Requests" (side quests). Completing these (e.g., finding the Rich Spice for Josée) unlocks unique passive bonuses and special weapons like the Battle Axe: Idris's Conceit.
- Some NPCs (like Jadwiga) provide "Assimilated" bonuses—passive traits that help you even when they aren't physically fighting with you. Others, like Lou or Noah, can be fully summoned as active AI combatants.
- Similar to the first game, giving NPCs "Old-World Souvenirs" earns you Trading Points to buy their unique gear.
- Jadwiga’s Minions are merchants that appear at major outposts (like the Refugee Village in the Sunken City or the Ruined Town). They are the primary source for region-specific Combat Formae.
- Craig is a side-quest NPC who loves the scenery. You can find him at various Hot Springs (MagMell, City Overlook, Valley Overlook). Completing his requests involves visiting these springs with him as your partner.
- The Shady Revenant is hidden in The Abyss near the final boss shortcut. He sells "Blood-Crusted" gear and rare materials.
