Code Vein 2: Landmark Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Landmarks in Code Vein 2 are named locations that anchor navigation across the game's sprawling world — but most are more than signposts.

Over half the Landmarks below are also dungeon entrances, with a dedicated interactive map for each dungeon linked directly from the Landmark's entry.

Others are Towers of Regeneration with Golden Blood Beads inside. The 70+ Landmark locations across MagMell Island and The Continent are all tracked on MapMaster's Code Vein 2 interactive maps.

What Are Landmarks in Code Vein 2?

Landmarks are named locations tied to the game's fog-of-war reveal system. Discovering a Landmark — by physically reaching it — updates your map with the surrounding topography and reveals nearby collectibles and dungeon layouts.

They're not fast travel points: only Mistles allow fast travel.

The game world is called The Frontier, and its three mainland biomes — Sunken City, Corroded Scar, and Undead Forest — each hold dozens of Landmarks ranging from open-air ruins to subterranean facilities.

Three Landmark Types Worth Distinguishing

  • Navigation-only Landmarks are waypoints without dungeon access — Refugee Village, Western Gatehouse Ruins, Forward Bases One and Two, Miners' Abandoned Village, Plateau Ruins. These reveal map territory and mark significant open-world areas.

  • Landmark-and-dungeon Landmarks are the most numerous category — Sunken Pylon, Josée's Outpost, Seized Substation, Pioneer Castle, Gorge Cave, Arcade Ruins, Crystal Grotto, and more. Reaching the Landmark registers the location; entering through the dungeon door accesses a completely separate interactive map. The checklist links directly to the dungeon map for each.

  • Tower of Regeneration Landmarks are specifically flagged in the checklist with a Golden Blood Bead note — several require a specific access route before the Bead inside can be collected, including the Sunken City Tower that requires a motorcycle ramp-and-glide sequence.

Vertical Exploration and the Sunken City Exception

The Sunken City's Landmarks frequently appear to be at ground level on the map when they're actually above you. If the map shows you standing on a Landmark that isn't visible, look for a ladder, a rooftop access path, or a Motorcycle Ramp.

The Outlook Cemetery Landmark, for example, is on top of a building — not on street level. Walking around the building's perimeter looking for an entrance won't work; climbing up does.

Destroying the nearest Map Jammer before searching for a Landmark is strongly recommended — the pink-purple glow on the horizon marks the Jammer, and destroying it reveals all nearby Landmarks and their exact positions on the map.

The pulsing red circles on your world map indicate active Map Jammers in each region.

The Touring the Frontier Trophy and Map Jammers

Discovering all Landmarks is tied to the Touring the Frontier trophy.

The trophy specifically requires destroying all overworld Map Jammers — dungeon-based Map Jammers don't count. There are 16-17 overworld Map Jammers required (sources vary slightly).

Destroying each one fills in the map section for its region; once all overworld sections are revealed, the trophy unlocks. The Landmark checklist below is the companion resource — tracking which named areas you've discovered makes it easy to cross-reference against which Map Jammers still need clearing.

One Landmark behaves uniquely: the Forma Storage Tower on MagMell Island unlocks automatically during the story, then re-locks after your first visit. You need the Forma Storage Tower Key from Valentin — obtained during the Mastering Control of Time quest — to revisit it. It's the only Landmark in the guide with a gated re-entry condition.
