Code Vein 2: Map Jammer Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Map Jammers are Code Vein 2's fog-of-war system — grotesque, withered trees with glowing pink leaves that suppress the map for their surrounding sub-region.

Destroy one, and the terrain, loot icons, and dungeon layout for that zone all become visible at once.

There are 63 Map Jammers total, all tracked on MapMaster's Code Vein 2 interactive maps — the only resource with every Jammer, including all dungeon locations, pinned at exact coordinates across every map.

What Map Jammers Do in Code Vein 2

Each Map Jammer controls the fog-of-war for a specific sub-region. Before destruction, the area around a jammed zone shows no terrain detail and no collectible icons.

The pulsating red circle on your world map marks the approximate centre of each jammed zone — the Jammer itself is always near the centre of that circle. Once destroyed, the full map for that zone fills in, revealing all Golden Nectars, Towers of Regeneration, Mistles, and items as icons.

Beyond map revelation, Map Jammers have a combat effect: Elite Enemies standing within a Map Jammer's range receive a defence buff, making them noticeably more resistant to damage and harder to stagger.

If an Elite feels far too durable, check whether it's standing near a pink-leaved tree. Lure the enemy away from the Jammer first, or destroy the Jammer before engaging, to strip the buff.

Touring the Frontier Trophy: 17 Overworld Map Jammers Required

The Touring the Frontier trophy requires destroying only the overworld Map Jammers — dungeon Jammers don't count.

There are 17 overworld Jammers across MagMell Island and The Continent's three biomes. The final overworld Jammer is in Insula Carcere, at the pier — this late-game area only becomes accessible after defeating all three Heroes.

Destroy every overworld Jammer, including the Insula Carcere one and the trophy unlocks.

If you're stuck at 98% completion, the Sunken City Cliffside woods Jammer is the most commonly missed — it's easy to walk past without spotting the pink glow. Dungeon Jammers don't affect the trophy count but are included in the MapMaster checklist for 100% completion tracking.

The Defense Buff: Why Combat Changes Near Map Jammers

The Elite Enemy defence buff near Map Jammers changes the risk calculus for early encounters. A Moon Envoy or Werebeast that would normally stagger after two or three hits may absorb four or five near a Jammer with no posture break.

The solution is always the same: either destroy the Jammer before engaging, or pull the enemy out of the Jammer's area first. The Jammer's range is roughly the same as the pulsating circle radius on your minimap.

The Bow Shortcut: Shooting Map Jammers From a Distance

Several dungeon Map Jammers can be destroyed remotely using the Statesman's Longbow Bequeathed Formae without fighting through to the Jammer's position.

The Ruins Jammer can be shot from the courtyard with the Longbow found in the same area. The Water Treatment Plant Jammer can be shot from above the moment you enter the dungeon if you already have the Longbow.

Josée's Outpost's Jammer can be shot from the upper bridge. The Sunken Pylon Jammer can be shot from the middle floor before descending. Each of these is flagged in the checklist with the exact vantage point.

All 63 Map Jammer Locations in Code Vein 2

  • Overworld (17): Five in Sunken City on The Continent (Northern, Northeastern, Western, Southern, initial), four in Corroded Scar (Eastern, Northern, Southwestern, Middle), six in Undead Forest, one in Insula Carcere, plus the initial MagMell Island Jammer unlocked automatically during the tutorial.

  • Dungeon (46): Every dungeon map in the game has at least one Jammer — some have two. Pioneer Castle, Sunken Pylon, and the Undead Forest dungeons carry the highest concentration of dungeon Jammers. All 63 are individually linked to their map position in the checklist below.
