Code Vein 2: Mistle Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Mistles are the beating heart of navigation in Code Vein 2 — every rest, every level-up, every fast travel, and every Ichor refill runs through them.

There are over 80 across all 34 maps, each one linked to its exact map position in MapMaster's Code Vein 2 interactive maps. Knowing where each Mistle sits, which era it belongs to, and whether it's currently accessible in your timeline is as important as knowing where the next boss is.

What Mistles Do in Code Vein 2

Interacting with a Mistle does seven things simultaneously: fully restores HP, Ichor, and all Regeneration charges; sets itself as your active respawn point; opens the level-up menu to spend Haze; lets you change your active Partner; provides access to weapon Formae customisation and duplication; and opens the Enhance Regeneration menu to spend Golden Nectars and Golden Blood Beads.

Resting at a Mistle refills everything — but it also respawns all standard enemies in the surrounding area. Rest strategically: if you've cleared a path to a resource, take what you need before resting.

Code Vein 2 Fast Travel and Timeline Restrictions

Fast travel works between any two discovered Mistles within the same era. You cannot fast travel to a Mistle in a different timeline — the Mistle appears greyed out on your map if it belongs to an era you're not currently in.

To shift eras, use a Bond at any Mistle (the timeline-shift option in the Mistle menu) or travel to a Confluence Point at the MagMell Hub or a major boss arena.

Fast travel is also disabled during active combat and at certain points in specific quests.

The confirmed eras are 2177 (Assault on MagMell), 2178 (The Hero Lyle's Era), 2179 (The Hero Josée's Era), 2182 (The Hero Lyle's Era 2), 2187/2197 (Free Exploration), and 2277 (The Present).

Some Mistles exist in only one of these eras.

Story-Locked and Timeline-Gated Mistles in Code Vein 2

One Mistle is story-mandatory: the Clifftop Cavern Mistle must be physically activated to progress the story and remove a nearby barrier. Walking past it without interacting blocks the quest.

Several Mistles shift availability based on story events. The Clifftop Cavern and Clifftop Cavern Entrance Mistles become temporarily inaccessible after completing the Timeline Shift Decision: Noah quest — their fast travel links disappear from the Mistle menu until the correct era is re-entered.

Simultaneously, the Cliff Underground Ruins and East Bay Underground Ruins Mistles only become available after that same quest. If a Mistle you've already activated suddenly vanishes from your fast travel list, a story event has era-locked it temporarily — following the main quest restores access.

The Forma Storage Tower 2F Mistle on MagMell Island requires the Forma Storage Tower Key from Valentin to unlock — it sits at the top of the Tower but won't register until the Key is in your inventory.

The Talk to Lou Option: Accessing The Confluence From a Mistle

Every Mistle has a Talk to Lou menu option. Selecting it transports you to The Confluence — the time-travel hub where Lou resides.

The Confluence is also where the Bat Jail is found, on the desk with the mirror. Players who miss the Bat Jail often discover this option late; it's available from the very first Mistle you activate.

All 80+ Mistle Locations in Code Vein 2

Mistles cover every area across The Continent and MagMell Island — from the MagMell Island Pier and the Ruins on the starting island, through every biome of The Continent (Sunken City, Corroded Scar, Undead Forest), and into every dungeon.

Pioneer Castle alone has six Mistles across its multi-level layout.

The Sanatorium complex and the Bureau's Castle area have two Mistles each. Every dungeon map in the checklist below includes at least one Mistle, each linked directly to its dungeon-specific interactive map.
