Code Vein 2: Haze Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Haze is everything in Code Vein 2 — levelling currency, merchant currency, and upgrade currency simultaneously. Every enemy drops it. Every merchant accepts it. Every attribute point, weapon enhancement, and Jadwiga transaction costs it.


The guide covers the static world Glowing Haze pickups scattered across all maps — fixed currency items that supplement enemy farming without respawn dependency.


All 50+ Glowing Haze locations are tracked at their exact positions on MapMaster's Code Vein 2 interactive maps.


What Haze Is and How It Works in Code Vein 2


Haze serves two roles at once. As experience, it levels your character when spent at any Mistle. As currency, it purchases weapons from Jadwiga's Minions, unlocks Customer Tokens, and pays for upgrades at Jadwiga's workshop.


Both uses draw from the same pool — there's no split between "XP" and "gold."


The loss mechanic is standard Soulslike: die, and all your carried Haze drops at the exact spot where you fell.


Return to that spot without dying again, and you recover it. Die before recovering it, and it disappears permanently.


If you fall to your death, your Haze appears near the edge you fell from. High Haze amounts are worth routing carefully back to retrieve.


How Glowing Haze Items Scale by Tier


World pickups appear as Glowing Haze items with a tier number from 1 to 12 — the higher the tier, the more Haze on collection.


Glowing Haze 1 gives 150 Haze, Glowing Haze 3 gives 600 Haze, and Glowing Haze 4 gives 1,200 Haze.


Higher tiers (8-12) scale proportionally and appear in later-game areas — Glowing Haze 12 appears in Sanatorium 2277 - The Present and the Grotto Military Site, making them the most valuable single-pickup Haze sources in the game.


After destroying a Map Jammer in a region, nearby Glowing Haze items appear on your minimap as icons — making it worth clearing Map Jammers before sweeping an area for Haze pickups.


The Most Important Haze Rule: When to Consume


Glowing Haze items stay in your inventory until you manually use them. Don't consume them in the field mid-run.


If you hold an unspent Glowing Haze and die, you lose the Haze you were carrying — but the item itself stays safe in your inventory. Spend them at a Mistle when you're ready to level up, not the moment you pick them up.


This prevents a large bank of held Haze from evaporating on a bad fight.


Haze Farming Loops Worth Knowing


Static pickups help, but enemy farming builds large Haze reserves faster. Two early loops with strong returns:


  • Josée's Outpost West Gate circuit clears six enemies in a loop back to the Mistle, netting roughly 1,500 Haze per 60-90 second run.
  • The Seized Substation Mistle approach targets five enemies on the road — using Idris's Conceit Bequeathed Formae for area-of-effect damage, clears them in under 20 seconds for approximately 1,400 Haze per run.


For boosted Haze gain, Military Rations temporarily increases Haze from kills (available from merchants for 150 Haze) — though the effect resets on any Mistle rest.
