Found at the end of the bridge, in front of the gate leading to the Refugee Camp. Make sure you speak to him to receive three Soft Rush Flowers and to be able to call him during the next boss fight.

Found on the right side of the dock. Speak to him, although you won't receive anything.

Found on the left side of the dock. Speak to him, then rest at the shrine and revisit his location again to get the Serpent Fang Lognsword.

Found near Shen Jiang’an. Speak to him to receive a Crystalized Red Mercury, then rest at a shrine, and he will leave the area alongside Shen Jiang’an (after speaking to her 2 times). On the ground, you will find Butler Shen's armor set.

Sitting on the dock. Speak to him to receive one Bamboo Shoot, then rest at the shrine and return to the pier to find the Ceramic Jar head armor.

Warning: Agreeing to help the White-Robed Elder is mandatory for unlocking the Dream’s Sweet Deceit Ending. Furthermore, you will be able to receive help from him while fighting the Bo Sorcerer Boss. Choosing not to help will break the questline.

Pick Remain silent, and you'll get to meet him again later.

Sitting at the edge of the plateau. If you correctly followed all the recommendations, you can speak to him instead of fighting him. If you didn't follow his questline as recommended on our interactive maps, he will not spawn.

If he is sitting at the edge of the plateau, speak to him once, then rest at the closest shrine and return to his location to get the remaining items.

Found on the right side of the Benediction Gate, inside the cave. Speak to him and trade your Bamboo Shoots received from Bamboozlings for the Steampowered Spear, Feather Pearls, Divine Ward Spell, a Lustrous Feather, or the Wei - Nine Disciplinary Force Benediction.

Standing on a rock in the clearing in front of the scaffolding. Speak to her and exhaust all dialogue options to receive a Full-Grown Red Mercury.

Found behind the Shrine. Agree to help him up and exhaust all dialogue options to receive 2 Steamed Bunny Buns.

Sitting on the ground floor inside the cave. Speak to him twice, and you'll receive a Bamboo Shoot you can trade with the Panda nearby.

Also known as Master Nian, you will find him by a tree on the path leading up the mountain. Speak to him and he'll ask you to bring him some elixirs from the village nearby. Agree to help and you'll receive a Bone Whistle and the Well Met Gesture.

Found behind a locked door on the upper floor of the house. It has nothing to say or give.

Found on the balcony on the second floor. Speak to him and exhaust all dialogue options to receive a Plumed Branch.

Found on the other side of the gap you can cross by pushing the wooden structure at the edge of the plateau. Speak to her to receive a Benediction.

Found by a tree in the small clearing. Speak to him to receive a Crystalized Red Mercury.

Sitting at the table. During your first encounter, he'll give you the Silk Manuscript, then you'll get to return to him multiple times after specific events:

• Once you activate the Doomwillow Beach Shrine, make sure you return to him and he'll give you 5 Steamed Bunny Buns.
• After defeating Commander – Honglan, speak to him again to receive a Growing Red Mercury.
• When you complete the Shaft Entrance, bring him the Mad Doctor’s Research Notes after you show them to He Youzai, to receive five Special Pills.
• After defeating Perfect Bride – Fang Ling in Bride's Boudoir at the end of the second chapter, speak to him to receive a Crystalized Red Mercury.
• Another item you must bring to him is the Zhenwu Temple Scripture found in the Pavilion of Knowledge. He will reward you with a Red Blood.
• After defeating Zhang Xianzhong in Chapter 3, speak to him again to receive a Blood of Changhong.
• After traveling to Bai Mansion and defeating Bai Kru in Rivulet, return to the temple and speak to him by the front door to receive a Blood of Wangdi.

Lying on the floor. Speak to him to receive the Peachwood Amulet. 

Found on the lower floor. Speak to her and she'll ask you to check Shu Sanctum, which you'll discover via story progression. After you get the Bloodstained Letter outside the boss area on the upper floor of the Shu Sanctum, return to Yu Xia, who will wait for you outside.

Hand over the letter to receive the Luduan Pendant.

After defeating Perfect Bride – Fang Ling in Bride's Boudoir at the end of the second chapter, speak to her to receive a Soulgrass.

Found by the fire. After speaking to him, you'll enter a dream sequence where you'll have to defeat two average enemies, followed by Bai Kru.

Found inside the tent. Speak to him to receive a Special Pill.

After defeating Commander – Honglan, speak to him again to receive a Faint Red Feather.

Found behind a barricade. Speak to him, although he won't say much.

After defeating Perfect Bride – Fang Ling in Bride's Boudoir at the end of the second chapter, check on him. While he won't tell you anything you the icon in the Fast-Travel menu will disappear.

Found inside the house. Give him the Dough Figurine of Mu Guiying to receive the Draw Circle Gesture.

Found on the upper floor of the cave. Speak to him and trade your Bamboo Shoots received from Bamboozlings and the Storyteller for the Steampowered Spear and the Divine Ward.

Found behind the locked door. Speak to her to get the Courtyard Key, then bring her the Damaged Letter and the Dough Figurine of Yang Zongbao.

Found on the ground floor, next to a wooden pole. Speak to her to receive the Zhenwu Hairpin.

After obtaining the Trinity Bell, make sure you give it to her, and she will relocate to Cloudspire Outskirts.

Found near the shrine on the ground floor of the temple. He doesn't have anything to say if you've already spoken to him when you saw him in Lightzen Temple.

Note: After you give him the Mercurial Blood, follow him to Reverent Temple (2nd floor) and speak to him again for another reward (Kong Wine x3). He is found in front of Qiao Lin's corpse. Later, you will get to meet him again in Hillswatch.

Found in front of the small altar on the second floor. Speak to her and give her the Peachwood Amulet to receive a Divine Gift, then give her the White Jade Dumpling dropped by Lu Hongliu so she can leave for Hillswatch.

Found in the small hut by the ramp. Speak to him to receive three Purple Camellias.

Note: After speaking to him and after you defeat the Shu Sanctum Boss, travel to Reverent Temple (2nd floor), and you'll find him investigating Qiao Lin. Speak to him again for a small reward.

Found in the small clearing on the path leading up the hill. Speak to him and hand over the Lost Package you've found in Buddha Cliffs to receive the Pirate Armor Set.

He can be found on the ground floor, where he relocates as you progress through the story. After defeating Commander – Honglan, speak to him and exhaust all dialogue options to receive an Everblend Brew and a Cured Jerky.

She can be found near a small altar on the ground floor, where she relocates as you progress through the story. After defeating Commander – Honglan, speak to her again, and she will travel to the next area.

Found in front of the gate. He spawns here only after you defeat Commander – Honglan. Speak to him before and after opening the gate to get Spicy Soup x5.

Found on the bridge. Speak to her, although she doesn't have anything important to say or to offer when you first meet her. After obtaining the Coral Bracelet, you can bring it to her in exchange for three Spicy Soups and a Faint Red Feather.

She spawns on the right side of the shrine if you give her the White Jade Dumpling in Shu Sanctum. Speak to her and trade a Steamed Bunny Bun for 5 Divination Crescents.

Note: If she doesn't spawn, don't worry, because you won't miss anything except for the items she trades with you.

Found on the small plateau, you'll get to cross as you climb up the hill. Nian Suichang spawns here only after you give him the Mercurial Blood in Shu Sanctum. Speak to him even though he doesn't have anything to offer.

After obtaining the Tattered Pack on the path in Snowy Passage, return to him and pick the Hand over the Tattered Pack dialogue option, then the Remain Silent option. In exchange, he will reward you with the Sorry Emote.

Next, you will meet him in Rebel Camp, waiting to help you defeat General of the North – Ai Nengqi.

Found inside the house. She spawns here only if you give her the Trinity Bell in Shu Sanctum. Speak to her and agree to help to receive the Zhenwu Tome and a Recovery Pill.

After giving the Tome to Li Wansan, return the Red Mercury Crystal he gave you to Huang Jian’e to get a Brilliant Red Feather and a Fixed Origin Pill.

Nian Suichang spawns in front of the locked gate if you give him the Tattered Pack in Hillswatch. Speak to him and he'll agree to help you when fighting General of the North – Ai Nengqi.

After defeating General of the North – Ai Nengqi, speak to him again to receive some Kong Wine.

Standing in the path up the hill. Give him the Zhenwu Tome you received from Huang Jian’e to get the Red Mercury Crystal.

Found inside the tent. Glut won't speak to you until you speak to Shen Jing’an and agree to join the Great Yonder Gang. Once you find her, return to Glut and give him the News about joining the Great Yonder Gang, then return to Shen Jing’an.

Once you ask Shen Jing’an about the wedding attire, you have to visit Glut again and pick between:

• Search for Shen Jing’an
• Search for your master

If you want Glut and the kids to survive, pick Search for Shen Jing’an. In this case, Glut relocates to the house where you found the kids, and you must head back there.

The second option doesn't affect the trophies/achievements, but Glut and the kids will not survive. For the first playthrough, we recommend going with the first option.

Found behind the locked door of the house at the bottom of the stairs. Give her the Shu Silk Scarf you have obtained in Hillswatch, and she'll reward you with 3 Sapphire Lotus Seeds.

Found at the edge of the cliff. Speak to him and agree to help him find a phoenix coronet and a vermilion wedding dress.

Found by the fire inside the house. Speak to him after Shen Jing’an, and he'll reward you with the Celebrate Emote if you Agree to join the gang. Also, give him the Vitality Bowl you obtained from the NPC in Mort Grotto.

Found by the fire inside the house. Speak to her first, and Agree to join the gang to receive the Great Yonder Antler Cap. Next, speak to Matchstick nearby, then to Glut in Cloudspire Bazaar.

After you give Glut the News about joining the Great Yonder Gang, speak to her again and Ask about the wedding attire, then head back to Glut in the Bazaar area and pick between:

• Search for Shen Jing’an
• Search for your master

If you want Glut and the kids to survive, pick Search for Shen Jing’an. In this case, Glut relocates to the house where you found the kids, and you must head back there.

The second option doesn't affect the trophies/achievements, but Glut and the kids will not survive. For the first playthrough, we recommend going with the first option.

When you return to the house, speak to Shen Jing’an again to secure the Wedding Attire.

Found by the fire inside the house. Glut relocates here if you pick the Search for Shen Jing’an option while speaking to him in Cloudspire Bazaar.

Found in front of the Buddha Statue on the upper floor of the Snowfall Palace. Speak to her to obtain a Plumed Branch

Found in the room on the upper floor. Speak to her twice to receive a Crystalized Red Mercury. If you talked to Shen Yangping in Cloudspire City and showed him the wedding attire, select the Hand over the wedding attire dialogue option. This unlocks a choice you have to make:

• Feign ignorance
• Tell of the butler’s betrayal

Feign ignorance is the recommended choice for the first playthrough as it will help Shen Yangping and the Yonder Children Gang survive; otherwise, they will die.

She can be found crying near the shrine. Make sure you agree to help her in order to start her quest and receive a Medicine Powder.

Note: Fang Yao spawns at this location only if you spoke to her at the entrance to Cloudspire City

Found by the bridge leading to Bride’s Boudoir. Speak to him and show him the Mad Doctor’s Research Notes and the Research Journal – Scrap 1.

After you show him the Mad Doctor’s Research Notes, travel to Reverent Temple and give them to Xuanyangzi.

Found inside a locked cell. Speak to her and pick Deliver news of the Madam’s death. After obtaining the Dungeon Key, bring it to Honglan to get the Coiled Dragon Pendant.

Fang Yao spawns in front of the small table after defeating Fang Ling and resting at the Wedding Hall Shrine. Speak to her to receive Fang Yao’s Armor Set.

Note: Fang Yao spawns at this location only if you spoke to her at the entrance to Cloudspire City and then by the Shaft Entrance Shrine.

The Storyteller spawns by the shrine after defeating Fang Ling and resting. Speak to him only when you are ready to start Chapter 3, and he will teleport you to the Hillswatch Cave leading to Mt. Zhenwu.

He can be found in front of a tent on the right side of the Shrine. Speak to him and give him the Medicine Case to obtain an Arnica Ointment. Another Ointment can be obtained after you bring him the Sacred Token found in the Altar Gate area.

Found at the end of the bridge on the path leading to the camp. Speak to the child and give him the Bloodied Steamed Bunny Bun, then rest at the Shrine nearby, and return to the Child, who will depart but drop the Tattered Paper near the campfire.

Found in front of a tent. Speak to her to obtain three Lantern Fruits. After defeating the Bo Sorcerer, you can speak to her again, although she won't reward you.

Found inside the tent alongside his father, the Butler. Speak to her and agree to help her cure his father.

After obtaining the True Origin Pill in Zhenwu Antechamber, give the pill to Shen Jiang’an, rest at the shrine, then speak to her again.

Note: Shen Jiang’an spawns only if you have followed our recommended path and saved her, Glut, and Matchstick.

Found by the shrine. When speaking to her, you'll have two options:

• I agree...
• No

Make sure you pick I agree to receive the Divine Blessing Spell. Agreeing is also mandatory for the Successor of the Bo Ending.

Found in the small clearing past the bridge. He spawns here only if you agreed to help him in the Refugee Camp. Make sure you speak to him again and don't forget to use the whistle to call him during the fight against the Bo Sorcerer.

After defeating the Bo Sorcerer with the White-Robed Elder's help, rest at the closest shrine (Avian Dwelling Shrine), then speak to him in front of the large tombstone to receive the Tigraliz Pendant.

Found next to the campfire. It spawns here only if you followed our recommendations and gave him all the items we have outlined on our interactive maps.

Speak to him once, then head to the Refugee Camp Shrine to hear some people speaking about a boat in one of the tents.

Return to the Child in the Jar and speak to him again to get the following dialogue options:

• Tell of the boat waiting at the dock
• Keep quiet about the boat at the dock

To progress his questline, pick Tell of the boat waiting at the dock, and you'll get to meet him later. You'll also get three Full-Grown Red Mercury.

If you keep quiet about the boat, you'll interrupt the questline. In this case, rest at the Refugee Camp Shrine, then return to the Child's location to get the Dough Figurine of Mu Guiyang and the Ceramic Jar Helmet.

Found inside the tent with yellow posts on it. The NPC spawns randomly. If he is available, give him the Broken Token you found in the Bandit Cave.

If he doesn't spawn, don't worry, because you won't miss any quests, important items, or collectibles.

He can be found sitting by the Shrine. Speak to him and ask him about the rebels to get 3 Kong Wine, then speak to him again and give him the Secret Letter found in the Avian Marsh.

Found in front of the burnt house. She spawns here if you completed all the interactions we recommended and if you call her to help you defeat Zhang Xianzhong.

Make sure that after the boss fight, you rest at the shrine, then speak to her, and rest again to receive the remaining parts of the Zhenwu Armor Set and a Half Vitalitus Pill.

Found by the cave's entrance. During your first playthrough, ignore the Storyteller until you complete the Ferry Overlook area as well as Bai Mansion and Rivulet. After you clear those areas, you can progress the story by talking to him, and you will reach the Annalum in Ruins area.

Warning: By interacting with him and choosing the Continue forward and I press onward dialogue options, you'll start Chapter 4, and you won't be able to return to the first area anymore. This is a very important Point of No Return.

Found next to some crates on the dock. Give her Glut's Token and Matchstick's Token before resting, then speak to her again and tell her you have unfinished business to receive a Flawless Red Mercury.

Note: Shen Jiang’an spawns only if you have followed our recommended path and saved her, Glut, and Matchstick.

Found by the dock. Make sure you speak to him, although you won't receive anything.

After traveling to Bai Mansion and defeating Bai Kru in Rivulet, return to him via fast-travel and speak to him to obtain Li Jiao's Fang.

Found in front of the shrine. Speak to him to obtain a Cornucopia Elixir and to be able to call him during the boss fight ahead.

After defeating Bai Kru, show how the Research Journal – Scrap 2 to receive a Cured Jerky.

Found on the central platform across the small river.

Warning: If you are aiming to get all 4 endings in a single playthrough via backup saving, DO NOT talk to him before reaching the Underground Palace.

Successor of the Bo Ending:

After reaching the Underground Palace, backup your save and speak to the Storyteller, picking the following dialogue options:

• What kind of favor?
• I do not…
• The Bo People…
• Refuse to help
• Refuse

Head back to the Underground Palace and defeat the Bo Magus to unlock the Successor of the Bo trophy/achievement.

Revert to the backup save file once the credits roll, to continue the story and speak to the Storyteller again, but this time pick the following dialogue options:

• What kind of favor?
• I do not…
• The Bo People…
• Agree to help

Return to the Underground Palace and defeat the Bo Magus again to continue the story.

Nian Suichang can be found inside the large house after you speak to him on the Worship's Rise plateau. He won't say anything, though.

Sitting on the terrace outside the Temple. She spawns here only if you followed her questline and our recommendations. Speak to her twice to obtain the Research Journal – Scrap 3 and the Ring of Samsara – Cause.

She can be found sitting in front of the small altar by the temple's entrance. When speaking to her, you will have the following choices:

• Show the Imperial Guard Token
• Hand over the Lovely Brocade Bag

What you choose here won't affect Yu Xia's story, only the rewards you receive from her:

• If you show her the Guard Token, you'll get a Radiant Feather
• If you hand over the Lovely Brocade Bag, you won't receive anything

Found on the top floor. She spawns here only if you followed her questline and our recommendations. Speak to him and show him the Research Journal – Scrap 3 while picking the following dialogue options:

• You seem to have forgotten something...
• Not really...
• Show Research Journal – Scrap 3
• What's wrong?

Upon speaking to him, you'll receive the Ring of Samsara – Effect.

After speaking to her in the Ruined Reverent Temple, Fang Yao relocates inside the locked building. Speak to her one last time to close her questline.

Found in the cave, sitting by the Shrine.

Warning: If you are aiming to get all endings in a single playthrough via backup saving, create a backup save before talking to him.

Jarful of Medicine Ending:

After creating the backup save, speak to Xuanyangzi and make sure you Hand over the Jade Feather Chisel when asked to. In exchange, you will receive a Vitalitus Pill, and you are now ready to unlock the Bad Ending.

So keep following the story and deal with The Reborn boss with Xuanyangzi's help to move to the next area. After getting to Capital Entrance, clear the area and reach the door leading to The Forbidden Lands, where you must defeat Feathery Ambition – Xuanyangzi, the final boss in the game, unlocking the Jarful of Medicine trophy/achievement.

Dream’s Sweet Deceit & Bound by Fate’s Threads Endings:

Now, it's time to restore the backup save and work on the other two endings. First, speak to Xuanyangzi again, but this time pick Remain Silent. Continue through the Burning Cavern and defeat The Reborn boss again to reach the Capital Entrance.

This time around, mop the area and deal with all enemies we have marked on your way to the Depths of the Capital where you should find the red Riddle Door.

Found behind the puzzle door. Speak to him to receive a Lustrous Red Feather or the Ren – Blood Vigor Benediction.
