Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: Shrine Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In the world of Shu, Shrines are Bai Wuchang's only sanctuaries — and in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, they do far more than restore health.

There are 50 Shrines spread across all four regions, and activating every one of them by choosing "Offer Blood" in a single playthrough unlocks the Radiant Faith trophy and achievement.

All 50 Shrine positions with their exact area, approach direction, and access requirements are charted across MapMaster's hand-drawn Wuchang: Fallen Feathers maps — 50 originals covering every corner of Shu with no in-game navigation to rely on.

What Shrines Do in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Each Shrine is a hub for all character progression. Interacting with one opens six menus:

  • Rest (Enter Dreams) — fully restores HP and refills Manna Vases. Warning: this respawns all non-boss, non-Inner-Demon enemies in the area.
  • Impetus Repository — spend accumulated Red Mercury to unlock skill tree nodes, use Red Feathers for weapon Mastery upgrades, and spend Forgotten Remembrances and Lost Remains to upgrade the Manna Vase.
  • Benediction Management — socket and swap passive Benedictions to activate Set Bonuses.
  • Weapon Tempering — apply elemental effects (Fire, Frost, Lightning) via Stone Needles.
  • Discipline Skills — equip and manage active combat skills per weapon class.
  • Teleportation — fast travel between any previously activated Shrine. Teleporting respawns enemies identically to resting.

Levelling, tempering, managing Benedictions, and changing skills do not respawn enemies.

Only choosing "Enter Dreams" (rest) or teleporting triggers the enemy respawn. Using the Shrine purely for the skill tree or Benediction management is safe.

How to Identify a Mimic Shrine

Not every Shrine in Shu is real. Four Mimic Shrines are disguised as genuine rest points but attack when approached. The identification method is consistent: a real Shrine displays "Offer Blood" as the interaction prompt.

A Mimic Shrine displays "Interact" instead. The moment "Interact" appears, step back and initiate combat before touching it. Mimics are specifically vulnerable to fire damage, making fire-element weapons or spells the fastest way to break their poise.

The four confirmed Mimic Shrine locations:

The Most Missable Shrine: Lotus Pond

The Lotus Pond Shrine in Tang Emperor Palace is the single most missed Shrine in the game. After defeating Commander — Honglan, players are automatically teleported to Reverent Temple — the only Boss fight in Wuchang that removes Wuchang from the arena before the Shrine can be activated.

Return to the Lotus Pond in Tang Emperor Palace before starting Chapter 2 and activate it manually. The Shrine is in the flooded courtyard where the boss fight took place.

The Highly Missable Shrine: Shrine Dwelling

The Shrine Dwelling Shrine requires a specific and deliberate wrong choice to access. At the red Riddle Gate to the left of the Depths of the Capital Shrine, select "The Wheel Turns Anew" — the incorrect answer.

This teleports Wuchang to Shrine Dwelling, the only way to reach it. Note that entering Shrine Dwelling this way prevents answering that Riddle Gate correctly in the same visit, affecting the Sage trophy if all correct riddle answers are required simultaneously.

Use a save backup to resolve both in a single run.

Boss-Gated and Questline-Gated Shrines

Nine Shrines only appear after specific conditions are met:

  • Corpse Pits Shrine — only after Reborn Treant — Soulwood
  • Snowpeak Pass Shrine (Cloudspire Outskirts) — only after Ming General — Liu Cheng'en
  • Treasure Trove Shrine — only after Mistress of the Night — Huang Yan
  • Wedding Hall Shrine (Bride's Boudoir) — only after Perfect Bride — Fang Ling
  • Zhenwu Altar Shrine (Altar Gate) — only after Zhang Xianzhong
  • Rivulet Shrine (Bai Mansion & Rivulet) — only after Monstrous Toddler — Bai Kru
  • Bo Shrine (Underground Palace) — only after Bo Magus, AND only if the Storyteller in Ruined Annalum was agreed to help
  • Tomb Shrine (Avian Marsh) — only after Eternal Glory — Zhao Yun, only accessible in Chapter 5
  • Gate of Truth Shrine (The Forbidden Lands) — only after Feathery Ambition — Xuanyangzi

Shrines and NG+: No Carryover

Shrines do not carry over into New Game Plus. All 50 must be reactivated from scratch in every playthrough.

If Radiant Faith was not unlocked before finishing the game, start NG+ and activate only the Shrines that were missed — the trophy does not require activating all 50 again if some were already done, only the ones previously skipped.

Check the NPC fast travel portrait hints and the grey gaps between known Shrine clusters in the teleport menu to identify which are missing.
