Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: Weapon Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, weapons are not individual items to switch freely between — they are Disciplines. Every blade, axe, spear, and set of dual blades in the same class shares a single Mastery upgrade path, meaning improving one weapon improves every weapon of the same type simultaneously.

Collecting all 24 base-game weapons unlocks the Legendary Collector trophy. Every weapon location — including NPC questline rewards, Boss drops, merchant purchases, and world pickups — is tracked on MapMaster's Wuchang interactive game maps, which cover every area of Shu.

Five Weapon Classes and Their Roles

The 24 base-game weapons span five classes, each with distinct combat rhythm and stat scaling:

  • Longswords (4 weapons) — the balanced all-rounder. Scales with Strength. Reliable across all encounters with broad combo coverage and strong charged attack utility.
  • Axes (5 weapons) — the highest Vitality/Health node count of any class. Scales with Strength. Heavy, deliberate strikes with the greatest poise-breaking potential.
  • Spears (5 weapons) — extended reach that creates spacing advantages. Scales with Strength. Keeps enemies at mid-range while maintaining consistent damage output.
  • Dual Blades (5 weapons) — the fastest attack speed and the highest Skyborn Might generation rate of any class. Scales with Agility. Enables more frequent Spell casts in aggressive combat.
  • One-Handed Swords (5 weapons) — the most Magic-focused class, with more Magic nodes than any other weapon type. Scales with Agility and Magic. The strongest choice for Benediction and Spell-heavy builds.

Pre-Order and Deluxe Edition Weapons Do Not Count

The five Donation Box weapons — Moonlight Dragon, Dragoncoil Lance, Eternal Sovereignty, Watcher's Gaze, and Vermillion War Club — are tracked in this guide but do not count toward the Legendary Collector trophy.

Only the 24 base-game weapons matter for the achievement.

How to Identify Weapons in the World

Weapons appear as yellow glowing items on the ground and in chests. Yellow indicates high-value items requiring active collection — the same visual tier as Jade Pendants and key boss drops.

Weapons can be held across all five classes simultaneously in inventory, with four set as active and the rest stored.

The Respec System

Investing in one weapon class is not permanent. Respeccing at any Shrine fully refunds spent Red Feathers — the entire Mastery investment for one class can be instantly redirected to another.

Find a new weapon mid-run with an appealing skill kit and switch the Discipline at zero cost.

Three NPC Questlines Produce Weapons

Three weapons require specific NPC interactions to unlock and are the most commonly missed for the Legendary Collector trophy:

Zhanlu Sword — the most missable weapon in the game, rewarded by completing Nian Suichang's full multi-region questline. After correctly following his questline to Ruined Worship's Rise, speak to him at the edge of the plateau, rest at the nearby Shrine, and return — the Zhanlu Sword is left behind. If the questline was not followed correctly, Nian Suichang does not appear, and the weapon is unobtainable that run.

Serpent Fang Longsword — from Li Dingo at Ferry Overlook. Speak to Li Dingo on the left side of the dock, then rest at the Shrine and return to his location — the Serpent Fang appears where he was sitting.

Li Jiao's Fang — from the Boatman at Ferry Overlook after traveling to Bai Mansion and defeating Bai Kru in Rivulet. Speak to the Boatman on the return to receive this Axe.

Wu Gang Sells Four Weapons as Backup

Four base-game weapons that also exist as world pickups can be purchased from Wu Gang if their world locations were missed: Halberd, Un-Equilibrium Blades, Darkfrost Edge, and Red-Tasseled Spear.

These are available in Wu Gang's starting stock at Shu Sanctum after helping him at Lightzen Temple. The Malice Sting Spear is exclusively available from Tao Qing for 10,000 Red Mercury after fully upgrading his shop.

Weapons Carry Over to NG+

All 24 base-game weapons carry over to New Game Plus. Players who miss a world-pickup weapon (not a missable NPC questline weapon) can recover it in NG+.

The Legendary Collector trophy can be completed across runs as long as the questline weapons (Zhanlu Sword, Serpent Fang, Li Jiao's Fang) are not permanently broken.

The Starting Weapon and the Final Weapon

Cloudfrost's Edge at Reverent Temple is given automatically in the opening cutscene — the first Longsword and the anchor of most early-game builds.

Plumed Grace at The Forbidden Lands drops from the final boss Feathery Ambition — Xuanyangzi, closing the weapon collection as the campaign ends.
