Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: Bamboozling Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide
Bamboozlings are the elusive critters of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. These small, yellow creatures resemble a mix between a fruit and a spirit, and while they are non-hostile, they are incredibly timid.
There are exactly 20 Bamboozlings hidden across the world of Shu. Tracking down and defeating every single one in a single playthrough is required to unlock the Bamboozling Return trophy/achievement.
Bamboozlings are fast and will burrow underground the moment they detect your presence. To successfully collect them, follow these tactics:
- Do not approach them slowly. Sprint directly at the Bamboozling and use a fast light attack (like a one-handed sword jab) to kill it before it vanishes.
- If you have high-damage spells, you can often take them out from a distance before they even begin to run.
- If a Bamboozling manages to escape underground, it is not gone forever. Simply rest at the nearest Shrine to force it to respawn in its original position.
Every Bamboozling you kill drops a Bamboo Shoot. This unique currency is useless on its own but can be traded with the Panda NPC—a traveling merchant found in secret corners of each major region.
Because the game does not feature a built-in tracker for specific Bamboozlings, it is highly recommended to cross-reference your findings with a region-by-region checklist such as the one below.
Missing even one in a story-locked area (like Snowfall Palace) can prevent you from obtaining the achievement until New Game+. To avoid this, we highly encourage you to check our unique interactive maps for all Wuchang: Fallen Feathers areas.
