Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: Goldwing Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide
In Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Goldwing Birds are rare, non-hostile creatures and the exclusive source of Aurum Feathers. These feathers are the most potent consumables in the game, providing a permanent, random boost to your core character stats.
Unlike standard collectibles, Goldwings are small, black birds that often perch high above your line of sight. Finding them requires a sharp ear and a steady aim.
When you collect and consume an Aurum Feather, the game grants you a permanent upgrade to one of three stats. The stat chosen is entirely random:
- Max Health (HP): Increases your survival threshold.
- Max Stamina: Allows for longer attack chains and more frequent dodging.
- Attack Power: Directly increases the damage of all weapon types and spells.
Goldwings are easily scared and will fly away if you get too close. To successfully harvest their feathers, follow these tips:
- Listen for the Call: Goldwings emit a unique, high-pitched chirping sound that stands out from the game's ambient noise. If you hear this distinctive call, stop and look upward—the bird is likely on a roof, a tree branch, or a wooden beam.
- Use Ranged Weapons: Always carry a stack of Flying Daggers. Since Goldwings are almost always on elevated objects, a ranged strike is the only way to kill them before they escape.
- Stealth: If you don't have ranged ammo, use the Crouch mechanic to approach the base of the object they are perched on, then strike quickly.
- Respawns: If a Goldwing flies away, simply rest at the nearest Shrine. Much like Bamboozlings, they will respawn in their original location.
Goldwings are hidden across all major chapters, from the rooftops of Worship's Rise to the snowy peaks of Mt. Zhenwu. Because these birds provide permanent power-ups that do not require spending Mercury, they are the most efficient way to "over-level" your character for tough boss fights.
