Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: Consumable Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Consumables are the battle-ready items of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers — a catalogue of 72 distinct types across 300+ world locations spread throughout Shu.

They appear as blue glowing pickups in the environment, easily distinguished from the yellow and purple items tied to progression and trophies.

Every confirmed world location is tracked at exact coordinates on the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers interactive maps — 50 hand-drawn originals covering every area.

Three Categories of Consumable

All 72 types fall into three functional categories:

Healing and Recovery — restore health, manage status effects, or provide emergency survival options:

  • Health Pill — direct health restoration, the most common consumable in the game
  • Steamed Bunny Bun — a food item providing health recovery
  • Fixed Origin Pill — recovery from debilitating status effects
  • Lantern Fruit / Crimson Lantern Fruit — restorative fruits scattered in mid and late-game areas
  • Feather Pearl — the most tactically important consumable: instantly teleports Wuchang to the nearest Shrine at no Red Mercury cost. Carries no penalty on use and is invaluable when cut off from a Shrine in a hostile area

Throwable Weapons — offensive consumables thrown at enemies to deal elemental damage:

  • Flying Dagger variants — Fire, Thundering, Corrupted, Breaking, Fiery, and Blight Flying Daggers each apply different elemental effects and stagger values
  • Fire Pot / Niter Fire Pot — area-of-effect fire explosives, most effective on grouped enemies and biomass blockades
  • Divination Crescent — thrown arc projectile with unique mechanical effects

Buff and Resistance Items — temporary stat enhancement and elemental protection:

  • Lotus Seeds (Topaz, Emerald, Mind, Sapphire, Fire) — each provides a distinct short-duration buff to specific stats or elemental resistance
  • Kong Wine — stamina and recovery buff
  • Stormward Pill / Flameward Pill — specific resistance boosts against lightning and fire, respectively
  • Purple Camellia — resistance or debuff cure
  • Soulgrass — stealth and recovery properties
  • Soft Rush / Soft Rush Flowers — moderate buff items

No Trophy, No Stress — All Buyable From Merchants

No consumable is required for any trophy or achievement. Every consumable type in this guide can be purchased from Merchants after upgrading their shops — upgrading Wu Gang's shop unlocks Lotus Seeds, Flying Daggers, and Fire Pots for purchase at any time.

World pickups exist to supplement merchant stock, not as finite one-time resources.

Two Unusual Entry Interactions

Two entries in this guide are collected through non-standard interactions:

  • Soulgrass (Mort Grotto) — on a ledge with a glowing orb, only obtainable by equipping and using the Worship Gesture while standing near it. Without the Worship emote equipped, the item cannot be collected.

  • Steamed Bunny Bun ×2 (Reverent Temple) — obtained by knocking on the door of a locked house in the upper village area. No fight required — the entry is missed by players who assume the locked door is impassable.

Hazardous Pickups: Jar Demons and Falling Boulders

Several entries across the guide carry specific hazard warnings:

  • Jar Demons (Zhugangs) — in Cloudspire City, Tang Emperor Palace, and Hillswatch, specific consumable pickups trigger a ceramic jar enemy disguised as decoration.
  • Falling boulders — one Shaft Entrance entry (Divination Crescent ×3 at the end of a corridor) has a specific boulder trap. Sprint through immediately after collecting.
  • Swinging spiked clubs — one Shaft Entrance entry requires dropping from above to collect Steamed Bunny Bun ×2 and Purple Camellia ×2 on a lower platform past the swinging obstacle.

The Densest Areas

  • Cloudspire City — 25+ entries across houses, alleys, towers, rooftops, and basements. The single densest consumable area in the game.
  • Zhenwu Antechamber — 15+ entries across courtyards, rooftops, corridors, shelves, and balconies under Despair-inducing enemies.
  • Shaft Entrance — 15+ entries across cells, caves, scaffolding, and platforms, several behind poisoned jars.
  • Snowfall Palace — 10+ entries, many clustered in front of the boss elevator as a deliberate pre-fight supply cache.
  • Mort Grotto — 12+ entries across the cave system, including the Worship emote Soulgrass and a Sapphire Lotus Seed + Budding Red Mercury combo pickup under the wooden platform.
  • Burning Cave — 8 entries clustered as a final supply run before the Dragon Emperor boss fight, including three types of corrupted roots inside blood pools.
