Silent Hill f: Omamori Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Omamori are the equippable protective charms at the heart of Hinako's build in Silent Hill f40 in total, each providing a distinct passive effect that shapes how combat, survival, and resource management play out across all three required playthroughs.

Every hidden Omamori location and every purchasable charm's effect is documented on the Silent Hill f interactive maps, with access conditions and locker codes noted per entry.

What Omamori Are in Silent Hill f

Omamori are small wooden plates — traditional Japanese protective amulets — that Hinako equips for passive buffs covering Health restoration, Stamina reduction, Sanity management, dodge enhancement, weapon durability, counter damage, and enemy detection.

Every Omamori has a named effect that activates continuously while equipped, and multiple Omamori stack when additional slots are unlocked.

Two Types: Hidden and Purchasable

  • Hidden Omamori (17 total) are found at fixed locations throughout the game — on surfaces, in lockers, behind puzzles, inside boxes, and through Key Item chains. They provide fixed effects and are documented at exact map coordinates in this guide and the NG+ Omamori guide.

  • Purchasable Omamori (23 total) are drawn randomly from Hokora shrines using Faith. The draw pool is fixed per save — reloading does not change the result. The first draw costs 300 Faith, with each subsequent draw increasing by 100 Faith until capping at 1,000 Faith from the eighth draw onward. Collecting all 23 purchasable Omamori requires a total of 20,200 Faith across multiple playthroughs. The entire purchasable pool is available from the first playthrough — no NG+ is required for purchasable charms. Every purchasable Omamori's effect is listed in the guide below.

Two Trophies, Two Routes

  • Omamori Sage — collect all 17 hidden Omamori. Requires at least two complete playthroughs since 4 hidden Omamori are NG+-exclusive. All 17 locations are tracked across this guide and the NG+ Omamori guide.

  • Omamori Collector — purchase all 23 Omamori from Hokora shrines. At 20,200 Faith total and Faith carrying over between playthroughs, consistent Offering conversion at shrines throughout the campaign is the most reliable route to the full purchasable pool. Both trophies are tracked in the Trophy guide.

Omamori Slots: How Many Can Be Equipped

Hinako begins with 2 Omamori slots. Slots expand to a maximum of 5 through Character Upgrade Ema Plates at Hokora shrines — 3 upgrades are available in the first playthrough, 1 in NG+, and the final slot in NG++.

Prioritising Omamori slot upgrades early in each playthrough maximises the defensive and combat flexibility available from the full Omamori system.

The Blessed Hand Mirror: The Most Consequential Hidden Omamori

The Blessed Hand Mirror is the highest-impact hidden Omamori in the game: when Hinako would take fatal damage from a normal attack, the mirror breaks instead, fully restoring Health, Sanity, and Stamina simultaneously.

It is also permanently lost on activation — if it breaks to save Hinako's life, that instance of the Omamori is gone. Three Blessed Hand Mirrors exist in the game:

The breakable nature and multiple instances are both noted in each entry.

Hidden Omamori That Require Specific Access

Several hidden Omamori in Ebisugaoka require prerequisite Key Items or actions before they become collectible.

  • The Whale Omamori (uninterrupted item use) requires the Back Door Key to access the lower balcony.
  • The Pine Omamori (increases Max Health) requires the Drawer Key to open the Doctor's Office lower cabinet — the same key used to collect Local Doctor's Note Part 4.
  • The Spider Omamori (reduced Light Attack durability consumption) requires the Key to Sakuko's Mailbox, opening the mailbox in the back alley, and simultaneously triggering the A Federal Offense trophy.
  • The Cat Omamori in Shrine Path (reduces dodge damage) requires turning a specific Ema plate depicting a cat to reveal it — it cannot be collected without that interaction.
  • The Wolf Omamori in Ebisugaoka Middle School (bonus damage at high weapon durability) is inside Tsuchiya Taiko's locker with the combination code 377.
  • The Cuckoo Omamori in Shimizu Residence (greatly increases damage in near-death state) is in a room behind an invisible wall in the eastern corridor.
  • The Hound Omamori in Treasure Hall (restores Max Sanity after defeating enemies) and the Bull Omamori in Worship Hall (reduces Heavy and Charged Attack Stamina cost, accessible after the Light Puzzle) are the most structurally gated base-game entries.
  • The Peony Omamori in Ebisugaoka (restores Health on food pickup) is the pre-order Deluxe Edition bonus.
