Revenge of the Savage Planet: Flora Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Flora in Revenge of the Savage Planet is the most extensive single Kindex category — 174 entries of bizarre alien plants, fungi, and geological oddities to scan across all four planets, all required for 100% Kindex completion and the No Stone Unturned quest.

Every plant's exact location is visible on our Revenge of the Savage Planet interactive maps, organised by region, so the hunt runs planet by planet without backtracking.

Not Everything Filed Under Flora Is a Plant

Raccoon Logic's Kindex takes a loose view of botany. Alongside genuine vegetation, the Flora category includes Salt Crystal, Crystal, Carcass, Giant Worm Carcass, and even Recycled Asset — a literal reused prop with a self-aware name.

If a scan refuses to appear under Fauna or Resources, check whether the game quietly classified it as a plant.

Planet-by-Planet Difficulty

  • Stellaris Prime — the gentlest hunt. Pfyzzich Beach alone holds nearly 40 Flora entries, the densest single zone in the game, and most story routes pass its plants naturally.

  • Xephyr — the frustrating one. The desert planet's wide-open layout hides plants with only one or two instances across the entire planet — species like the Eyeball Cactus in The Frangipane Drifts are single-spawn scans that are genuinely hard to stumble on without a marked map.

  • Zenethian Rift — the wet one. Most of this planet's flora grows underwater, and reliably scanning it requires the Franx Underwater Scooter, found at Chikit's Pools on Quasadron IX. Plan a post-story diving pass through zones like Caves of Miranyth rather than fighting the water early.

  • Quasadron IX — the pretty one. Vibrant pinks and blues, winding waterways, and the colossal Ingens Genae tree towering over Babutt Kingdom — the planet's flora is the least troublesome to find and the most pleasant to look at while doing it.

Two Scanning Tips That Save Hours

Hold the scan on greyed-out objects. Some flora shows no orange highlight and no "scan" prompt, yet holding the scan button for a couple of seconds still registers the Kindex entry. It looks broken right up until it works.

Nothing is missable. Every planet remains fully revisitable after the credits, so any plant skipped mid-story — including the underwater Zenethian species gated behind the scooter — can be scanned during post-game cleanup.

The scans covered in the Fauna guide carry more missable risk than anything in this category.

Read the Names — Seriously

The Flora Kindex doubles as the funniest reading in the game.

Dwightiem Shrutus, Mater Tua Olet (dog Latin for "your mother smells"), Jack's Average Sized Beanstalk, Fart Plant, Steamy Vente Sans Coffey, Zurm Zrum Glerm Glrem — Raccoon Logic clearly enjoyed naming all 174, and scanning each one unlocks a Kindex entry worth reading rather than skipping.
