Atomfall: Trader Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Traders in Atomfall are the 9 merchants operating across the Windscale Quarantine Zone on a pure barter economy — no currency, only goods exchanged for goods, with a Likes and Dislikes system that determines trade value. Find any 5 of the 9 to unlock the "Mate's Rates" (Bronze) trophy.

Mate's Rates: The Fastest Five

"Mate's Rates" (Bronze) — speak with 5 different traders. The five encountered most naturally during a standard playthrough:

• Molly Jowett — Slatten Dale Trader Camp (26.4E, 79.1N).
• The first trader in the game, encountered within minutes of leaving Bunker L8.
• Stocks: Atomic Battery, Metal Detector (if not yet found), Stealth Manual, Concrete Shelter Key, ammo.
• Likes: Rifle Ammo, Molotov Cocktails, Painkillers.
• Dislikes: Bandages.

• Reg Stansfield — Slate Mine Caves (29.0E, 71.1N), accessible from both Slatten Dale and Skethermoor. The cave system interconnects both regions — Reg operates near the entrance and is accessible from either side.
• Stocks: Burn Salve ×3, Gunpowder ×8, Hatchet, Makeshift Grenade Recipe.

• Morris Wick — Wyndham Village Shop.
• Stocks: weapons including Cricket Bat, Farming Knife, Grenade ×3, Leamington 12-Gauge Shotgun (Rusty), Terrier .22 Rifle (Rusty).
• Likes: Explosive Lure.
• Dislikes: Cricket Bat, Bandages.
• Note: Morris Wick is also the murder mystery suspect in the "Kill the One they Call Maisie" questline — choosing the Bargaining dialogue after the accusation earns the Crafting Manual without confrontation.

• Iris Baxter — Wyndham Village, inside The Bakery.
• Stocks: Bread ×2, Cornish Pasty ×3, Slice of Cake ×2, Burn Salve Recipe. Critical for the "High Tea" trophy — see below.

• Alf Buckshaw — Wyndham Village, inside Grendel's Head pub.
• Stocks: Tea ×2, Alcohol ×8, B.A.R.D. Metal Detector Recipe, Firearms Mastery Manual, Melee Combat Manual, Molotov Cocktail Recipe, Potatoes ×3, Survivor's Hatchet (preorder).
• Likes: Molotov Cocktail.

High Tea: The Trophy Hidden in Two Trader Inventories

"High Tea" (Bronze) — consume an English Tea, Slice of Cake, and Cornish Pastry within 30 seconds. All three items come directly from Wyndham Village traders:

• English Tea (×2) — buy from Alf Buckshaw at Grendel's Head
• Slice of Cake (×2) — buy from Iris Baxter at The Bakery
• Cornish Pasty (×3) — buy from Iris Baxter at The Bakery

Buy all three from their respective shops, hold them in inventory simultaneously, then consume one immediately after the other.

The 30-second window is generous enough that the walk between Grendel's Head and The Bakery isn't required — buy everything from both traders first, then consume in sequence from the inventory menu in a single session.

Four Traders Sell Atomic Batteries

The fastest path to powering all four Atomic Battery Data Stores in The Interchange without extensive exploration:

• Molly Jowett (Slatten Dale) — 1 Atomic Battery
• Billy Gorse (Casterfell Woods, 21.5E, 89.6N) — 1 Atomic Battery. Also stocks: Bow, Arrows ×11, Herbs ×10, Consumables Manual, Poison Bomb ×3, Poison Bomb Recipe, Sickle. Likes: Nail Bomb. Dislikes: Poison Bomb, Bow, Arrows.
• Corporal "Bootsy" Hughes (Skethermoor, 36.3E, 76.2N — upper floor, climb ladder inside) — 1 Atomic Battery. Also stocks: Combat Stim Recipe, Firearms Mastery Manual, Hi-Power 9mm (Stock), Sticky Bomb, ammo. Likes: Atomic Batteries.
• Nora Thorndike (Skethermoor, Nora's Barn, 41.8E, 77.5N) — 1 Atomic Battery. Also stocks: Nail Bomb, Nail Bomb Recipe, SMG Ammo ×14, Sticky Bomb ×2, First Aid Kit ×3. Dislikes: First Aid Kit.

Mother Jago: Trader and Ending NPC

Mother Jago (Casterfell Woods, The Old Mine, 27.2E, 92.2N) is the only character who functions as both a trader and a faction NPC ending-giver.

Her stock: Antidote ×3, Bandage ×2, Tomato ×2, Spores ×10, Antidote Recipe.

Likes: Radiation Resistance, Antidote. Dislikes: Poison Bomb. Completing her questline and following the Druid path leads to the "At One with the Soil" ending.

The Barter System: Likes, Dislikes, and Restocking

Atomfall has no currency — every trade is goods for goods. Each trader has a Likes list (items they value highly, giving better exchange rates when offered) and a Dislikes list (items they value poorly or refuse entirely).

Always offer a trader's Liked items when trading for high-value goods like Atomic Batteries or Manuals.

Traders also restock their inventory over time — returning to the same trader after progressing through several regions refreshes their available stock with new items.
