Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Treasure Map Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Treasure Maps in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced are the 30 physical collectibles that unlock the Caribbean's buried treasure system — each a hand-drawn sketch with coordinates pointing to a dig site on a different island from where the map was found.

Every map is classified as a Secret in the game's tracker and pairs one-to-one with a specific Buried Treasure Chest. All Treasure Map locations and solutions are included on Map Master's Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced game maps.

The Cross-Island System: Map Here, Chest Elsewhere

The defining rule of every Treasure Map in Resynced: the map is found on a different island from the buried chest it unlocks.

The Abaco Island map leads to Salt Lagoon. The Mariguana Island map leads to Andreas Island. The Great Inagua map leads to Nassau.

Collecting a map adds it to the Codex under Treasure Maps with two pieces of information: a pair of coordinates and a hand-drawn sketch of the landmark near the dig site.

Sail to the coordinates, match the sketch to the terrain, and look for the shovel-prompt at ground level. The prompt only appears once the map is in hand.

Two Treasure Map types exist: standard open-world maps (found on skeletons, in camps, and at cave entrances) and Warehouse maps (looted from inside specific Warehouses after raiding them with the relevant key).

Trophy-Relevant Maps

For the "Ship This" (Silver) trophy — fully upgrade the Jackdaw — six of the twelve Ultimate Ship Plans come from specific Buried Treasure Chests. The Treasure Maps that lead to those Plans are the highest-priority hunts.

The six Ultimate Plan chests confirmed from earlier research: Harpoon Strength (Mariguana Island map → Andreas Island chest), Hull Armor (Salt Key Bank Secret → underwater chest), Heavy Shot Strength, Fire Barrel Strength, Heavy Shot Storage, and Mortar Storage from other confirmed map solutions across the Caribbean.

The Treasure Dealer Maps: Four Restored Maps

Beyond the 26 standard open-world Treasure Maps, the Treasure Dealer at Great Inagua's docks (rebuilt from Sequence 4) offers four additional Restored Maps assembled from collected fragments. Each Restored Map type requires different fragments from different sources:

  • Preserved Map Fragments — from raiding Warehouses across the Caribbean (nine Warehouses in total, each accessible via a looted key). Among the easiest fragments to collect once the raiding system unlocks.

  • Tattered Map Fragments — from boarding and looting Pirate Hunter frigates at high Wanted Level.

  • Digested Map Fragments — from skinning White Jaguars at Great Inagua (coordinates 811, 436) — the rarest fragment type and the most time-intensive to farm.

  • Weathered Map Fragments — from large locked chests in smuggler dens and caves across the Caribbean Sea (Petite Caverne, Jiguey, San Juan, Ambergris Key, Anotto Bay). Six pieces needed total — one can be purchased directly from the Treasure Dealer himself.

The four Restored Maps lead to some of the highest-value buried chests in the game, including the Shade and Shadow Robes (Legendary Outfit) and Wooden Eyeball Trinket from Sacrifice Island.
