Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Ship Pet Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Ship Pets in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced are the four animal companions that roam the Jackdaw's deck — two cats and two monkeys, all new to the remake — found through Local Events, a free redeem code, and the Deluxe Edition.

Two of them — Albert the Monkey and Soot the Cat — also count toward the "Friend To All" (Bronze) trophy. All confirmed Ship Pet locations are fully available on Map Master's Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced interactive maps.

Ship Pets Are the Sixth Jackdaw Cosmetic Slot

Ship Pets occupy a dedicated sixth slot in the Jackdaw's cosmetic system alongside Figureheads, Hull Trim, Sail Sets, Ship Wheels, and Crew Attire.

Only one Ship Pet can be active at a time. Switch between collected pets via the sixth inventory slot below the Outfit slot, or through the model ship in the Captain's Cabin below deck, or from the Appearance tab at any Harbourmaster when docked.

Friend To All Trophy: The Critical Monkey Step

"Friend To All" (Bronze) — interact with all 8 friendly animals in the Caribbean. The in-game trophy description says "7 animals" — this is incorrect. 8 distinct animal type interactions are required.

The Monkey is the only animal with a two-step requirement. Simply rescuing and equipping Albert does not unlock his step. After equipping any monkey pet from the inventory, board the Jackdaw, enter the Captain's Cabin at the rear of the ship (below the helm), and interact with the monkey sitting in the back left corner.

This cabin interaction is a mandatory separate step and must be completed regardless of which monkey pet is equipped.

The free Shipmate Pirate Monkey (code ASC-BFR-PMK-000) works as a substitute — equip it and interact with it in the Captain's Cabin to complete the monkey step without doing the Monkey Business Local Event.

The other 7 friendly animals and their most reliable confirmed locations:

• Turtle — Abaco Island beach (584, 807). Accessible as early as Sequence 3 — one of the easiest to tick off.
• Chicken — Southeast Viewpoint area in Havana. Chickens are common in all major settlements — the easiest animal in the game.
• Cat — Havana docks area. Also found in Nassau, Cat Island (orange cat at the loading bay), and Kingston. Cats are very common.
• Dog — Kingston graveyard: a black dog sits under a large tree near a grave and is present regardless of time of day or weather. Also found near dock areas in settlements.
• Pig — Kingston (617, 167), fenced area near the General Store at the docks. Also on Cat Island, inland from the beach. Pigs are harder to find outside these two locations.
• Cow — Cape Bonavista is the very first location with a cow — collectible before the trophy is on most players' radar. Also common across farming areas in all settlements.
• Parrot — Havana market square in a cage (211, 586). Alternatively, fully upgrade the Great Inagua General Store and a caged parrot appears outside at (818, 440). Also found in small cages beside the pigeon coops at every Assassin Contract board.

Kingston is the single most efficient farming stop — Dog, Pig, Chicken, Cow, and Cat are all within a short walk of each other.

Combine a Kingston stop with the Turtle on Abaco Island (early), the Parrot in Havana, and the Monkey via the Captain's Cabin to complete the trophy in four stops.

If any animal fails to spawn: fast travel away, hold D-Pad Right to skip time to morning, then fast travel back to respawn all animals.
