Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Local Event Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Local Events in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced are the short, spontaneous side activities scattered across the Caribbean — an entirely new category added for Resynced, not present in the original 2013 game.

They take the form of pickpocket chains, ship rescues, and eavesdropping missions, often rewarding Art Pieces for the Dilettante trophy or unique Ship Pets.

Their locations are featured on our AC Black Flag Resynced interactive game maps.

Three Event Types

• Combat rescue — board an enemy ship, defeat the crew, and recover a reward. The most action-intensive type. Represented by Monkey Business in Havana.

• Stealth pickpocket chain — tail a target, eavesdrop on a conversation, and lift an item without being detected. Several steps must be completed in sequence without breaking cover. Represented by Easy Pickings (Havana), Visitor of the Poor, and Black Market Shopping in Nassau.

• Social/dialogue — approach an NPC and listen to what they say. No combat, no stealth requirement. Represented by A Moment of Freedom (Nassau) — Edward simply speaks to a drunk sailor and receives an Art Piece as thanks.

Early Local Events

• Easy Pickings (Havana, no prerequisite) — locate the wealthy merchant wandering Havana and pickpocket him without being detected. Reward: 500 Reales.

• Monkey Business (Havana, requires completing "This Tyro Captain") — board the Spanish ship anchored off the southeastern shore of Havana, defeat the crew, and rescue the monkey trapped onboard. Reward: Albert the Monkey Ship Pet, equippable from the inventory's Pet slot.

• A Moment of Freedom (Nassau, requires reaching the Nassau Tavern during "Now Hiring") — speak to the drunk sailor on the northern beach and listen to his story. Reward: Turkish Copper

• Field Flask (Art Piece — counts toward the 41 needed for the Dilettante trophy and Bernard's Art Lover quest).

• Visitor of the Poor (Nassau, requires reaching the Nassau Tavern during "Now Hiring") — eavesdrop on a conversation in front of the Harbourmaster, identify the nobleman, and pickpocket him. Reward: 750 Reales.

• Black Market Shopping (Nassau, requires reaching the Nassau Tavern during "Now Hiring") — the most complex Local Event confirmed so far. Eavesdrop on the conversation by the General Store, wait for the nobleman to complete his purchase, tail him through the streets, then pickpocket the acquired item. Reward: 300 Reales + Deity Figurine (Art Piece — Dilettante).

Two Art Pieces From Local Events

The Dilettante trophy's 41 Art Pieces come from three sources: open-world exploration, General Stores, and Kenway's Fleet Brig Piracy missions.

Local Events contribute two of the 16 open-world Art Pieces — the Turkish Copper Field Flask (A Moment of Freedom) and the Deity Figurine (Black Market Shopping). Both are among the easiest Art Pieces to collect, requiring no combat or sailing.

Nassau Prerequisite: Complete These in One Visit

The three Nassau Local Events — A Moment of Freedom, Visitor of the Poor, and Black Market Shopping — all unlock simultaneously on reaching the Nassau Tavern during the "Now Hiring" quest.

They do not need to be done during that quest, but they won't appear on the map until that story point is reached. Visiting Nassau after "Now Hiring" and sweeping all three events in one pass is the most efficient approach.
