Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Pistol Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Pistols in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced are the 19 firearms Edward Kenway can collect for the Great Inagua Manor's Weapons Room — any 12 of the 19 are needed for the Dilettante (Silver) trophy.


With several free or nearly free options available early in the game, reaching the 12-pistol threshold doesn't require spending 52,300 Reales on all purchasable options.


Confirmed Pistol locations are fully documented and visible on Map Master's Assassin's Creed Black Flag 2026 complete interactive maps.


Stats: Range and Draw Speed


Every Pistol has two stats.


  • Range — how accurately and effectively the pistol fires at distance; higher is better.
  • Draw Speed — how quickly Edward draws the pistol (measured in seconds); lower is faster.


The Common Flintlock Pistols have the fastest confirmed Draw Speed at 1.00. The Darkworker's and Blackbeard's Crimson Pistols both reach Range 22 at Draw Speed 1.50.


The Fastest Route to 12 Pistols


Free and story-automatic options eliminate most of the 52,300 Reales cost:


  • Common Flintlock Pistols (Common, Range: 20, Draw Speed: 1.00) — story automatic from "Mister Walpole, I Presume?" in Havana. The first pistol Edward ever holds.


  • Standard Wheellock Pistols (Common, Range: 20, Draw Speed: 1.12) — 800 Reales from any General Store, available after "This Tyro Captain."


  • Rustic Flintlocks (Legendary) — free. Press the Options button (PS5) or equivalent on the map screen to access the in-game online store, find Rustic Flintlocks, and claim them at no cost. One of the easiest Legendary pistols in the game.


  • Captain's Wheellock Pistols (Rare) — free world chest at Great Inagua, coordinates 823, 448. No purchase, no quest — just open the chest.


  • Dark Animus Corsair Flintlocks (Legendary) — free, earned by completing the Eye in the Dark Animus Project (free battle pass, progressed by completing Anomaly challenges). Uses the same Animus Key project system as the other Project rewards.


  • Baldwin's Golden Pistols (Rare) — reward from Lucy Baldwin's third Officer quest "Plantain!" — run her three-quest chain: A Proper Shipwright (coordinates 446, 620, Salt Key Bank) → The One With the Gun (818, 445, Great Inagua) → Plantain! (818, 445, Great Inagua). Available after Sequence 4, Mission 1: "This Old Cove."


Those six alone bring the total to 6. Add Standard Wheellock Pistols and four more store or world pistols to reach 12.

Great Inagua General Store Level 2 — Spanish Officer Pistols (Rare, 5,500 Reales) and Pirate Blunderbusses (Rare, 6,000 Reales).


Great Inagua General Store Level 3 — Golden Flintlock Pistols (Legendary, 18,000 Reales).

Secret General Store (unmarked island, Caribbean Sea, coordinates 550, 638) — Captain Drake's Flintlocks (Legendary, 22,000 Reales).


Treasure Dealer, Great Inagua — Peaceful Means (Legendary, 5,000 Reales + 3 Capuchin Monkey Pelts + 4 Iguana Leather + 20 Rum Barrels).


World chests — Captain's Wheellock Pistols (Rare, Great Inagua, 823, 448); Cannon-Barrel Pistols (Rare, locked underwater chest at Jiguey, 535, 511 — key from pirate leader on the cave beach); Captain Morgan's Pistols (Rare, underwater chest on Black Island, 917, 616).


Treasure — Gargoyle's Breath (Legendary, from the Restored Weathered Map buried chest, assembled via White Jaguar Digested Map Fragments).


Story automatic — Common Flintlock Pistols (Common, from "Mister Walpole, I Presume?").

Officer quest — Baldwin's Golden Pistols (Rare, Lucy's 3rd quest "Plantain!" starting at Salt Key Bank).

Pistols are one of six requirements for the Dilettante trophy. All six must be filled simultaneously: 41 Art Pieces, 9 Paintings, 20 Ship Models, 11 Portraits, any 18 Cutlasses and Rapiers, and any 12 Pistols.

  • Perk: Killing an enemy with the pistol will slow time briefly.
Captain Morgan's PistolsBlack Island

Captain Morgan's Pistols are obtained by looting the underwater special chest on Black Island. The chest is found by the northeastern coast, at the bottom of a shipwreck.

The Cannon-Barrel Pistols are obtained by looting the underwater special chest in Jiguey. The chest is found at the bottom of the lake in the center of the cave. To open it, you need the Jiguey Smuggler's Chest Key.
