Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Ship Model Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Ship Models in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced are the 20 miniature vessels displayed in the Fleet Planning room of Great Inagua Manor — the only Dilettante (Silver) collection category where all items are mandatory with no flexibility.

While any 18 Swords and any 12 Pistols satisfy the Manor's weapon displays, the Ship Models room requires all 20 specific models.

All Ship Model locations are included on our Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced regional interactive maps.

The Critical Rule: Board, Don't Sink

Every Ship Model registers on the first boarding of that ship type — not the first sinking. If a Spanish Frigate is destroyed rather than boarded, the Spanish Frigate Ship Model does not unlock.

The model only appears in the Codex after Edward physically boards and takes control of that ship type for the first time.

Before engaging any unfamiliar ship at sea, raise the Spyglass (hold L2/LT while sailing) to identify the ship type: Cutters are the smallest and fastest vessels, Schooners are small merchant ships, Brigs are medium ships identifiable by the ram extending from the front hull, Frigates are medium-to-large ships without a ram, and Man o' Wars are the largest warships in the Caribbean Sea.

Always have swivel guns loaded before boarding — disabling sails first reduces the risk of the enemy ship taking fatal hull damage before Edward can board.

Three Acquisition Methods

Story-automatic — unlocked automatically through Main Quest progression without any additional effort:

• The Revenge — awarded on completing the "Edward Kenway" prologue quest and reaching Havana.
• El Dorado — awarded on completing "The Treasure Fleet" (Sequence 2), when the Jackdaw is won.
• The Jackdaw — awarded on completing "Prizes and Plunder" (Sequence 3) at Salt Key Bank. Edward's own ship gets its own display model.

First-boarding of each ship type (10 models) — the ten Spanish and English variants of the five core ship classes, collected naturally through normal naval combat by ensuring each new ship type is boarded rather than sunk:

• Spanish Schooner (during "Prizes and Plunder"),
• Spanish Cutter (during "Prizes and Plunder")
• Spanish Brig (during "Raise the Black Flag")
• Spanish Frigate, Spanish Man o' War, English Schooner, English Cutter, English Brig (en route to Andreas Island, "Sugarcane and Its Yields")
• English Frigate (en route to Cat Island, "Sugarcane and Its Yields")
• English Man o' War.

The five Spanish models are unlocked naturally by sailing the early-game southern Caribbean. The English variants appear more frequently in the northern waters around the Navassa and Punta Guarico regions.

Legendary Ships (5 models) — one exclusive model per Legendary Ship defeated across the Caribbean Sea. All five are required for both the "Devil of the Caribbean" (Gold) trophy and the complete Ship Model collection.

A fully upgraded Jackdaw is strongly recommended before attempting any Legendary Ship. These are the longest naval encounters in the game and also reward exclusive Hull Trim and Sail Set cosmetics alongside the Ship Model.

A World Without Gold (1 model) — one Ship Model is awarded for completing the new Resynced endgame chapter, which unlocks in Great Inagua after Sequence 11 "Everything Is Permitted."

This is the only Ship Model tied to the new story content and cannot be collected before that point in the campaign.

Viewing the Collection

Collected Ship Models appear in the Codex under Database → Art Collection: Ship Models and are physically displayed on the shelves of the Fleet Planning room inside Great Inagua Manor.

The Fleet Planning room also hosts Kenway's Fleet management — making it the most frequently visited room in the Manor during the Art Piece farming process.

The full Dilettante trophy requires all 20 Ship Models displayed simultaneously alongside the complete Painting, Art Piece, Portrait, Sword, and Pistol collections.
