The First Berserker: Khazan: Weapon Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Weapons are the foundation of combat in The First Berserker: Khazan — three distinct weapon types, each with its own skill tree, attack rhythm, and playstyle identity. With 150+ weapons tracked across every area, every drop source was added at its exact coordinate on our Khazan interactive maps.

Find every chest position, every enemy spawn, and every story-granted weapon without replaying missions blind.

Three Weapon Types in The First Berserker: Khazan

Every weapon in the guide belongs to one of three categories, each with a dedicated skill tree unlocked through gameplay:

Dual Wield — a paired sword and axe combination. Fast, stamina-efficient attacks with high hit frequency. Skill tree focuses on combo chains, stamina reduction, and burst windows on staggered enemies.

Represented throughout the guide by weapons like the Imperial Soldier's Dual Wield (first weapon received), Reforged Dual Wield, Oceanic Dual Wield, Blue Crystal Dual Wield, Claw-Slit Dual Wield, Soul Cleaver Dual Wield, and Golden Dual Wield.

Spear — a glaive-spear with long reach and wide sweeping attacks. Effective at maintaining distance and covering multiple enemy positions in a single swing. Skill tree emphasises stamina damage, deflect counters, and aerial attacks.

Represented by the Spear of Inner Turmoil, Imperial Soldier's Spear, Imperial Officer's Spear, Oceanic Spear, Fallen Lord's Spear, Noble's Spear, Spear of Glory, Temple Knight's Spear, Soul Piercer Spear, and Spear of Faded Memories.

Greatsword — a heavy two-handed sword with the highest single-strike damage and stamina damage of any weapon type. Slower attack speed is offset by devastating Brutal Attack windows on staggered enemies. Skill tree centres on poise, Brutal Attack damage, and guard-breaking.

Represented by the Decayed Greatsword (most common early Greatsword), Imperial Soldier's Greatsword, Villager's Greatsword, Chaos-Ridden Greatsword, Greatsword of the Sun, Bone Greatsword, Sacred Greatsword, Soul-Cleaving Greatsword, and Blue Crystal Greatsword.

How Weapons Work: Skill Trees and Stat Scaling

Every weapon type draws from the same five stats at the Blade Nexus — Vitality, Endurance, Strength, Willpower, and Proficiency — but each weapon has a primary scaling stat that delivers the most attack power per point invested.

Aligning stat investment with the weapon's scaling priority is the primary build efficiency decision.

Each weapon also carries passive attributes that stack with Armor set bonuses — the set's dedicated weapon is counted as a set piece, so equipping the matching weapon directly unlocks the set's milestone bonuses alongside the armour pieces.

Weapons are upgraded through Blacksmith Qazumaka using Scrolls and boss crafting materials — the same system that upgrades armour.

Higher-tier weapons from bosses and side mission encounters often have better base stats than world drops, making boss farming via Spectral Portal replay a reliable late-game weapon sourcing method.

Four Story-Given Weapons in the First Two Areas

The game guarantees one weapon of each type within the first two missions — no farming or RNG required:

  • Imperial Soldier's Dual Wield — granted automatically after reaching the first Blade Nexus in Mount Heinmach. The first weapon Khazan receives in the game.
  • Ancient Warrior's Worn Greatsword — awarded automatically during a cutscene in the first trial of the Trials of the Frozen Mountain main mission in Stormpass.
  • Ancient Warrior's Worn Spear — awarded automatically during the second trial cutscene in Stormpass.
  • Ancient Warrior's Worn Dual Wield — awarded automatically during the third trial cutscene in Stormpass.

By the end of Stormpass, every player has at least one weapon of each type and can immediately begin investing in the Skill Tree most aligned with their preferred combat style.

Explosive Chest Weapons: Back Away After Opening

Several weapons in the guide are inside explosive chests — the same trapped containers flagged throughout the Chest guide. Opening them without stepping back immediately deals significant damage.

Explosive chest weapons include the Fallen Lord's Spear (roof edge chest in Lake City Aldevir), Chaos-Ridden Greatsword (Rephalan Mountains and Abandoned Citadel - Final Conquest), Pilgrim's Dual Wield (Nadin Quarry), Soul Cleaver Dual Wield (El Ravaca Sector No. 4 - Why Have You Forsaken Us? and Vaisar Gate), Crushed Dreams Spear (Ruined Citadel - Transcendental Sword), Spear of Faded Memories (Imperial Palace), and Soul Piercer Spear (Hidden Laboratory Chamber - Valus's Axe).

Each is flagged in the checklist entry.

All Weapon Locations in The First Berserker: Khazan

The earliest weapons appear in Skoffa Cave — eight visible entries covering all three weapon types from Revenant of Adversity enemies, chests, and the Red-Eyed Boulder Bat.

Phraugh Village carries a high density of Reforged Dual Wield and Contorted Spear drops across the fishing village Revenants of Adversity.

Nadin Quarry is the densest mid-game weapon area with eight visible entries spanning every weapon type.

Abandoned Citadel - Final Conquest holds the highest visible concentration in the mid-to-late game — Villager's Greatsword, Reforged Dual Wield, Imperial Soldier's Spear, Chaos-Ridden Greatsword, and Formless Warrior's Spear across its corridors and multiple enemies.

Late-game Imperial Palace introduces the Soul series weapons — Soul Piercer Spear, Soul-Cleaving Greatsword, and Soul Cleaver Dual Wield — each available from chests in a single room alongside the Sacred Greatsword and Spear of Glory.

All weapon positions contribute to the 100% completion progress tracked in the Trophy guide.
