The First Berserker: Khazan: Merchant Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

The First Berserker: Khazan features a compact but functionally rich merchant system — six distinct vendor types covering Consumable purchases, Lacrima extraction, Soulstone stat upgrades, Armor crafting, gear dismantling, and Jarling-tied item sales.

Three of the six require specific mission completions or story triggers before they become available. Every confirmed merchant position is pinned on MapMaster's unique The First Berserker: Khazan maps.

Hub Merchants: The Crevice and Realm of the Living Crevice

The primary merchant cluster is in The Crevice and its connected area, the Realm of the Living Crevice:

• Duimuk — the general goods merchant on the central plateau of the Realm of the Living Crevice. Speaking to him is required to unlock Phraugh Village as the next mission destination. Sells consumables, gear, and buys every item type.

• Oksana — the alchemist, initially found on the upper stairs of The Crevice. After completing Embars Ruins and returning to the hub, she relocates to the study room on the lower floor. Her service: extract Lacrima from unwanted items rather than selling them. Gear and materials that would earn Gold from Duimuk instead yield Lacrima directly via Oksana — making her the preferred disposal option for duplicate drops when Lacrima is the priority.

• Daphrona — appears in Embars Ruins behind a Battered Blade Nexus on the path through the area, and returns to The Crevice as a permanent hub presence. Her primary function is exchanging Soulstones for permanent stat increases — expanding Lacrima gain per kill and Netherworld Energy capacity. All Soulstone exchange requires interacting with Daphrona specifically, not any Blade Nexus.

• Danjin — first encountered at Cradle of Jars - Jar Enthusiasts, where he gives the Jar Enthusiast side mission. After completing the mission, he moves to the upper plateau of the Realm of the Living Crevice and opens his shop. His stock begins with Helms, Consumables, and Materials — and expands progressively as more Jarlings are found and returned to his count. By late game, Danjin's shop carries Epic Materials, including boss crafting materials, making Jarling collection directly tied to inventory access.

• Qazumaka — the Blacksmith, found in the study room of the Realm of the Living Crevice after rescue. Qazumaka is trapped in Skoffa Cave and is only freed by completing the Blacksmith's Heirloom bonus mission, which requires first defeating Aratra in Skoffa Cave's main mission. Once he arrives at The Crevice, Qazumaka crafts complete armor sets (given the right Scroll and boss material) and dismantles unwanted gear into component materials.

Field Bards: Consumable Vendors in Mission Areas

An unnamed Bard merchant appears in several mission areas as a portable consumable vendor — selling potions, elixirs, and miscellaneous items and buying unwanted gear on the spot, allowing mid-mission restocking and inventory management without returning to The Crevice:

• Embars Ruins — on a balcony accessible only via a specific drop point (cross-linked in the checklist entry).
• Skoffa Cave — on an isolated patch of land surrounded by poisoned water.
• Rephalan Mountains — beside a ladder in the canyon area.
• Rovelion Imperial Theatre — next to the wrecked piano.
• Capital City Vitalon — named Digor the Bard in this area, functionally identical.

The Embars Ruins Bard on the hidden balcony is the most commonly missed — the drop point is the only access and isn't visible from the main path. The checklist entry cross-links both the merchant and the drop point coordinate.

Three Merchants Requiring Specific Unlocks

Qazumaka — requires completing Spider's Tomb - Blacksmith's Heirloom. Without this bonus mission, no armor crafting is available, regardless of how many Scrolls and boss materials are in the inventory.

Danjin (Crevice) — requires completing the Jar Enthusiast side mission. Before completion, Danjin is only accessible in the Cradle of Jars with a limited stock.

Oksana (lower floor) — requires returning from Embars Ruins. She doesn't disappear — she moves. Players returning to The Crevice after Embars Ruins, looking for her in the original upper-stairs location, won't find her. She's in the study room on the lower floor. Both positions are marked separately in the checklist.

Oksana: Converting Gear Into Lacrima

Oksana's Lacrima extraction service is the most underused mechanic in the game's merchant system. Standard item selling gives Gold, which is spent at merchants.

Oksana converts those same items directly into Lacrima for stat upgrades at the Blade Nexus — bypassing the Gold economy entirely.

In the early and mid game, when Lacrima is the bottleneck and Gold is less scarce, Oksana's service is typically more valuable than Duimuk's buy price for the same item.
