The First Berserker: Khazan: Lacrima Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Lacrima is the stat upgrade currency in The First Berserker: Khazan — the equivalent of Souls in the soulslike genre, and the resource through which everything in the game's progression system flows.

Our Lacrima guide tracks every fixed world deposit: one-time Lacrima pickups found on glowing red corpses scattered throughout every area. These don't respawn when a Blade Nexus is activated and don't reappear on mission replay — each is a permanent, single-collection source of Lacrima waiting to be found.

All confirmed corpse locations are pinned on MapMaster's The First Berserker: Khazan interactive maps — 40 hand-drawn originals built exclusively by MapMaster.

How Lacrima Works: The Stat Upgrade Currency

Lacrima is collected from three sources: defeating enemies (which respawns on Blade Nexus activation), looting fixed world deposits from corpses (this guide), and recovering Soul Tear items from the world.

Enemy Lacrima drops when Khazan dies and must be recovered before dying again. Fixed world deposits are collected once and permanently added to the pool.

At any Blade Nexus, Lacrima is spent to upgrade five stats: Vitality (health and resistances), Endurance (stamina and recovery), Strength (physical attack), Willpower (Netherworld Energy and skill damage), and Proficiency (critical rate and weapon mastery).

Each upgrade raises Khazan's level by one and increases the cost of the next upgrade in that stat. The total Lacrima required to reach a competent build level is substantial, making every fixed-world deposit worth collecting.

Spending Soulstones with Daphrona at The Crevice permanently increases Lacrima gained per enemy kill, making Soulstone collection directly connected to the long-term Lacrima economy.

Fixed World Lacrima: Why Every Corpse Counts

Unlike enemy drops, world Lacrima on corpses is not recovered if Khazan dies nearby — it's collected once on interaction, added directly to the pool, and gone.

The easiest way to miss these deposits is to move through an area quickly on a first visit without checking every corpse. The checklist flags each one at its exact position, so revisiting an area with the guide open is a direct sweep rather than a room-by-room search.

Corpses carrying Lacrima glow red in the environment — visually distinct from ordinary corpses. This is the consistent visual indicator across all areas — if a corpse glows red, it holds a fixed Lacrima deposit.

Lacrima Scaling: Deposits Grow With Area Progression

The fixed Lacrima amounts scale meaningfully with area tier. The earliest deposits in Mount Heinmach yield 480 Lacrima per corpse — several early-area corpses carry this amount.

Stormpass steps up to 864 Lacrima per corpse across four confirmed deposits. Embars Ruins increases again to 1,104 Lacrima per deposit, with three visible before Load more.

Mid-to-late areas like Rephalan Mountains, Vaisar Gate, Capital City Vitalon, Great Temple, and Imperial Palace carry the largest individual deposits in the game, concentrated in the final push through the Vitalon Capital.

The Progressive Lacrima Boss System

One mechanic unique to Khazan among soulslike games: dying during a boss fight after dealing enough damage deposits partial Lacrima at the boss entrance — claimable on respawn without needing to re-clear the area.

This makes repeated boss attempts progressively less punishing and means Lacrima accumulation continues even during difficult fights.

Combined with the fixed world deposits in this guide and farming via the Stormpass' Phantom of Combat side mission's rematchable boss, the game provides multiple-layered Lacrima sources beyond standard enemy farming.

One fixed Lacrima deposit in Stormpass is only accessible during the second visit via this side mission — its corpse position is marked in the checklist.

All Lacrima Locations in The First Berserker: Khazan

Fixed world Lacrima deposits span every area from the three x480 deposits in Mount Heinmach through the densely-packed late game areas.

Stormpass holds five fixed deposits (four x864 + one second-visit deposit).

Embars Ruins holds three x1,104 deposits. The largest concentration of individually tracked deposits appears in the Rephalan Mountains (six), Vaisar Gate (six), Great Temple (six), and Imperial Palace (ten).
