The First Berserker: Khazan: Consumable Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

The First Berserker: Khazan packs an unusually deep consumable system — seven status effects, each with their own cleanse potions and resistance elixirs, six elements each with weapon enhancement and spirit fuel items, plus Lacrima recovery, health restoration, character augmentation, and gear reforging consumables.

Every world pickup, corpse loot, enemy drop, and chest consumable position is tracked on MapMaster's The First Berserker: Khazan interactive maps — all 40 hand-drawn maps built exclusively by MapMaster — so you can stock the right items before every major boss encounter without backtracking blind.

What Consumables Are in The First Berserker: Khazan

The Consumable guide tracks every single-use item found in the world, covering five broad categories: status cleanse potions, resistance elixirs, elemental weapon enhancers and spirit fuels, character recovery items, and augmentation materials.

Consumable stocks are automatically replenished when Khazan rests at any Blade Nexus — but world floor pickups and enemy drops are one-time sources that don't restock between visits, making the checklist the practical tool for knowing which areas carry surplus stock of specific consumable types.

Seven Status Effects and Their Cleanse Potions

The game has seven confirmed status effects — each with a dedicated cleanse potion and a corresponding resistance elixir:

  • Poison — Poison Cleanse Potion, Poison Resistance (from Citrus of Cleansing series)
  • Plague — Plague Cleanse Potion, Plague Resistance Elixir
  • Fire — Fire Cleanse Potion, Fire Resistance Elixir
  • Lightning — Lightning Cleanse Potion, Lightning Resistance Elixir
  • Water — Water Cleanse Potion, Water Resistance
  • Chaos — Chaos Cleanse Potion, Chaos Resistance
  • Hallucination — Hallucination Cleanse Potion, Hallucination Resistance

Cleanse Potions remove an active status effect mid-combat. Resistance Elixirs and Resistance series items (Plague Resistance Elixir, Fire Resistance Elixir, Lightning Resistance Elixir) reduce incoming status buildup before it applies.

For boss fights where a specific status is the primary threat — Shactuka's plague in Linon Mine, Volbaino's fire in Phraugh Village — the checklist marks the nearest world pickup of the relevant resistance item before the boss fog gate.

Special Cleanse Potions remove all active status effects simultaneously and are rarer — positions marked in Palemion Citadel and select late-game areas.

Weapon Enhancement Consumables

Six elemental categories each carry two enhancement consumable types:

  • Elemental Enhancers (Fire Enhancer, Water Enhancer, Lightning Enhancer, Earth Enhancer, Poison Enhancer) temporarily add the named element to Khazan's weapon attacks — useful for exploiting boss weaknesses mid-fight without switching weapons. The earliest enhancers appear in Skoffa Cave and Embars Ruins.

  • Concentrated Essences (Concentrated Fire Essence, Concentrated Water Essence, Concentrated Earth Essence, Concentrated Poison Essence) are the stronger tier — larger elemental damage additions or longer duration. These appear from Skoffa Cave onward and scale in availability through Nadin Quarry and Rephalan Mountains.

  • Spirit Fuels (Fire Spirit's Fuel, Water Spirit's Fuel, Lightning Spirit's Fuel, Poison Spirit's Fuel) power elemental spirit attacks — a different combat resource from direct weapon enhancement. A stack of Spirit Orbs (found in large quantities in the Rephalan Mountains) fuels the broader spirit system.

Character Recovery and Augmentation Items

Vitality Spheres and Stones restore Khazan's HP when consumed. The Vitality Sphere / Stone x2 / Stone x3 entry in Mount Heinmach is the first healing consumable pickup in the game.

Lacrima of Circulation — one of the most frequently dropped consumables in the guide, appearing across dozens of Revenant of Adversity enemies in Skoffa Cave, Silent Temple - Kaleido, El Ravaca Village, and Nadin Quarry. These recover Lacrima lost on death, allowing recovery without returning to the death point.

Soul Tear items (Soul Tear Dust, Soul Tearstone Shard, Unstable Soul Tearstone) are tiered Lacrima recovery items found on corpses throughout every area — from the first corpse in Mount Heinmach's tunnel through the late-game corridors of Vaisar's Hidden Chamber - Crimson Trace and Imperial Palace.

Transmutation Shards appear in stacks of 30 across multiple areas and are consumed when augmenting or rerolling Armor attributes at the Blacksmith — distinct from battle consumables but tracked here as world loot. Large stacks appear in Nadin Quarry, Annex of the Grand Central Theater - Centurial Order, Rovelion Imperial Theatre, and Forgotten Underground Canal - Pavel's Final Words.

Primeval Regression Orb — the respec consumable, which resets Khazan's stat allocation and returns all spent Lacrima. Drops from the "Khazan's Abyss" enemy in Stormpass.

Additional copies are sold by Merchants — but at steep Gold cost early on. The world drop in Stormpass is the most accessible early-game copy. Handle stat resets in The Crevice hub, not in hostile areas, to avoid losing the restored Lacrima to an unexpected enemy.

Gems and Gleamstones (Shattered Gem, Tarnished Gem, Quality Gem, Lesser Gleamstone, Faint Golden Cube, Inner Essence) are gear augmentation and progression materials tracked across mid-to-late areas.

The Faint Golden Cube and Gleamstones appear from Silent Temple - Kaleido onward. See the Epic Material guide for the highest-tier augmentation materials associated with specific NPCs and bosses.
