The First Berserker: Khazan: Netherworld Energy Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Netherworld Energy is the resource pool that powers Khazan's Phantom Abilities and Devil Transformation in The First Berserker: Khazan — the combat system unlocked after defeating specific bosses that lets Khazan call on the Blade Phantom's power mid-fight.

Only 5 fixed Netherworld Energy upgrades exist in the entire game as world pickups, each permanently increasing the maximum Netherworld Energy capacity.

With so few available, every one missed is a permanent reduction to how long Phantom Abilities and Devil Transformation remain active per combat.

All 5 locations are documented at exact coordinates on MapMaster's exclusive First Berserker: Khazan interactive maps.

What Netherworld Energy Is in The First Berserker: Khazan

Netherworld Energy depletes when Phantom Abilities are activated and when Devil Transformation is in use.

It regenerates naturally through landing basic attacks on enemies and is fully restored by resting at any Blade Nexus. The maximum pool starts small and can be expanded through two routes:

  • Dpending Soulstones with Daphrona at The Crevice (the primary upgrade method)
  • Collecting the 5 fixed world pickups tracked in this guide.

The world pickups are a separate source from Soulstone upgrades — they stack on top of whatever Daphrona has already upgraded, making them additive to the full Netherworld Energy economy rather than an alternative to it.

Why Every Netherworld Energy Pickup Matters

Devil Transformation — unlocked after defeating Maluca in Nadin Quarry — is Khazan's most powerful combat state.

Its duration scales directly with the Netherworld Energy pool at the moment of activation. With only 5 world pickups and a limited Soulstone supply, the maximum pool available in a single playthrough is fixed — every missed pickup is a shorter transformation window in every boss fight from Maluca onward.

Similarly, Phantom Abilities consume Netherworld Energy per activation: a larger pool means more activations per fight before needing to regenerate through Netherworld Energy consumables or basic attack regeneration.

All 5 Netherworld Energy Locations in The First Berserker: Khazan

  • Skoffa Cave — the earliest world pickup in the game, found high on the top wooden beam above the main cave floor. Requires navigating to the elevated beam position — not visible from the standard path below.

  • Embars Ruins — on the edge of an upper balcony accessible via a specific drop point. The drop point coordinate is cross-linked from the checklist entry — the balcony cannot be reached by climbing from below.

  • El Ravaca Village — on the ground next to a large pipe. Floor-level and findable on a thorough first pass, though easily missed in the area's visual complexity.

  • Temple of Shadows - The Vow — by the wall in the late-game bonus mission area. The final and most easily missed pickup — late in the game, in an optional area, with no visual indicator from the main route.
