The First Berserker: Khazan: Soulstone Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

The First Berserker: Khazan contains exactly 100 Soulstones — red crystal formations hidden across every region of the game. Collecting all 100 unlocks the Agent of the Netherworld trophy and is the most extensive collectible challenge in the game. Every confirmed Soulstone location is pinned on our exclusive First Berserker: Khazan interactive maps.

What Soulstones Are in The First Berserker: Khazan

Soulstones are glowing red crystal formations embedded in walls, placed on elevated surfaces, hidden in rooms behind breakable barriers, and occasionally submerged inside destructible tubes.

Each one is a fixed, one-time collectible — they don't respawn and don't reappear on mission replay once collected. Breaking a Soulstone adds it directly to the inventory; it disappears from the world immediately.

What Soulstones Do: Three Permanent Upgrades

Collected Soulstones have no value until spent with Daphrona in The Crevice. She converts them into three permanent passive upgrades — each expanding a core system:

  • Lacrima Drop Rate — increases the amount of Lacrima earned from defeating enemies. A higher drop rate accelerates stat levelling through the Blade Nexus upgrade menu and reduces the amount of farming needed between upgrade tiers.

  • Recovery Rate — increases the speed and effectiveness of health and consumable recovery. A meaningful quality-of-life upgrade across long mission runs and extended boss fights.

  • Spirit Gauge — permanently increases maximum Netherworld Energy capacity, stacking with the Spirit Gauge world pickups. More Netherworld Energy means more Phantom Ability activations and longer Devil Transformation duration per engagement.

Speak to Daphrona regularly — she's available in The Crevice from the point she's first encountered in Embars Ruins onward.

The Javelin: Essential Tool for Over a Third of All Soulstones

A significant portion of Khazan's 100 Soulstones are placed on beams, ledges, pillars, walls, and elevated surfaces that cannot be reached by walking up to them.

The javelin — introduced as a mechanic in Stormpass and Skoffa Cave — is the only tool that reaches them. The checklist explicitly marks every javelin-required Soulstone with an instruction, so no guesswork is needed on approach. Examples from our complete guide:

  • Palemion Citadel — on a wooden beam (javelin), on a roof after descending a ladder (javelin — ladder coordinate cross-linked)
  • Silent Temple - Kaleido — on a circular stone wall (javelin)
  • Nadin Quarry — on an upper ledge (javelin)
  • Rephalan Mountains — next to candles on a ledge (javelin), on a patch of land in water (javelin), behind spider web (javelin)
  • Imperial Palace — on a pillar at a distance (javelin required from across the room)

Three Ways Soulstones Are Hidden

Elevated and unreachable placements — the most common hiding method. Soulstones on high beams, rooftops, flagpoles, cages hanging above stairs (Ruined Citadel), and ledges above waterfalls (Skoffa Cave between two waterfalls) require a javelin from a specific angle. The checklist notes the exact vantage point for each.

Behind hidden access points — breakable walls, secret doors, and wooden barricades block a meaningful subset of Soulstones. El Ravaca Village has three such Soulstones — behind a breakable barricade, behind a secret door, and in a corner hidden from the main route. Vaisar Gate has two hidden-door Soulstones, each with the door cross-linked in the entry.

All hidden access points are individually pinned as separate markers, so the barrier and the Soulstone are both findable without blind wall-striking.

Camouflaged by environment — two Soulstones carry explicit "Look carefully" warnings because they're obscured by matching red environment geometry. In Linon Mine, a Soulstone sits directly beside a large natural red crystal — identical colouring makes it nearly invisible. In Mine No. 2 Workyard - Escaping Linon Mine, the same problem repeats next to a cluster of large red crystals. The coordinate pins eliminate the search entirely.

All Soulstone Locations in The First Berserker: Khazan

Soulstones begin in Mount Heinmach (two — one via drop point from a tunnel above, one at the end of a small hill) and Stormpass (three — next to a wooden structure, in a cave alcove, on a cliff edge near the shortcut ladder).

The largest single-area concentrations are Great Temple (five — including one in a hidden room between bookcases and one on a far ledge requiring a javelin), Capital City Vitalon (five — including one behind a waterfall and one behind a large church statue), Vaisar Gate (five — two behind hidden doors, one on a balcony, one in a corner room), and Rephalan Mountains (four — three requiring a javelin, one partly hidden behind a spider web with a "look carefully" note in the checklist).
