Silent Hill f: Toolkit Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Toolkits are the only items in Silent Hill f that can repair Hinako's weapons — small sets of tools found throughout Ebisugaoka that restore approximately 50% of a weapon's durability when used.

In a game where every melee weapon eventually breaks, and a broken weapon disappears from inventory permanently, Toolkits are the critical resource that extends the life of the most valuable weapons across all three required playthroughs.

Every location is tracked on the Silent Hill f interactive maps, with spawn triggers documented for the time-gated entries.

Note: This guide covers base-game Toolkits only. NG+ and NG++ locations are tracked separately.

What Toolkits Do in Silent Hill f

Using a Toolkit on the currently equipped Weapon restores roughly half its durability bar — enough to give a damaged weapon a meaningful second lifespan before it reaches the critical breaking point.

Toolkits must be used before a weapon fully breaks. Once the durability bar empties completely, the weapon is gone: it cannot be repaired retroactively and does not reappear in the world.

The visual durability indicator — the crescent moon icon on the HUD alongside the Focus gauge — shows the current weapon state. When the icon begins depleting noticeably, a Toolkit application extends viability for the next encounter sequence.

Toolkits cannot be offered at Hokora shrines for Faith and have no consumable effect on Health, Sanity, or Stamina. Their sole function is weapon maintenance.

Dark Shrine Weapons Need No Toolkits

An important practical distinction: most Weapons found inside the Dark Shrine areas — Corridors, Worship Hall, Main Hall, Treasure Hall — have no durability bar.

They can be used freely without any degradation concern. Toolkits are therefore most valuable for the named weapons carried through the Ebisugaoka exploration sections, where durability applies, and replacement weapons may be scarce.

The exception is the purified Sacred Sword — after completing the Crimson Water Puzzle and purifying the blade for Endings 2 and 4, the Sacred Sword loses its self-repair ability and begins consuming durability with use.

A supply of Toolkits held in reserve for NG+ and NG++ runs that target those endings ensures the Sacred Sword remains usable throughout the campaign without being lost.

Omamori Synergy: Two Alternatives to Toolkits

Two Omamori charms reduce reliance on Toolkits mid-playthrough.

  1. The Otter Omamori restores the durability of spare weapons in inventory after defeating an enemy — a passive weapon maintenance effect that accumulates across combat and reduces how often Toolkits are needed for secondary weapons.
  2. The Crab Omamori prevents weapon durability from decreasing while Focus is active — directly addressing the durability cost of Focus Attack use and extending weapon life during the most combat-intensive encounters.

Spawn-Triggered Toolkits: Six Time-Gated Locations

Six Toolkits in Ebisugaoka only appear after reaching specific milestones:

  • On the way to Ebisugaoka Middle School — one Toolkit spawns on a small crate by the wall of a building, collectible during the approach to the school.
  • After returning from Shrine Path — one Toolkit spawns on a table at the end of an alley.
  • After returning from the Corridors — one Toolkit spawns on a wooden crate near the wall on the west side of an alleyway.
  • After returning from Main Hall — one Toolkit spawns in a crate in the back of a house.
  • After returning from Treasure Hall — four Toolkits spawn across Ebisugaoka: on the ground by a bush at the end of a blocked path, on a bike by a house, on a bench in front of a house, and on a wooden bench in a narrow alley.
  • The endgame Shrine Path entry — in front of the fox statue, available only on the return to Shrine Path during the Dark Shrine approach — is the latest spawn in the guide.

All Toolkit Locations in Silent Hill f

Ebisugaoka features the largest spread across chairs, benches, crates, paths, and porches, including all six spawn-triggered entries and one inside the fifth Rice Field Puzzle unmapped area.

Shimizu Residence holds four — in a storage room bench, a corridor cabinet, a kitchen cardboard box, and a cabinet near the Hokora.

Corridors has two — one on a rock in front of the Hokora and one on the ground.

Ebisugaoka Middle School has two — on a cabinet top and inside a back-room cabinet.

Shrine Path has one spawn-triggered entry. All locations with exact coordinates and spawn conditions are in the interactive guide below and the Trophy guide completion tracker.
