Code Vein 2: Platinum Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Pure Platinum upgrades Jails — the Drain Tools that define your Ichor recovery in Code Vein 2. It's the Jail equivalent of Tender Crimson Stones for weapons, running from Tier 1 through Tier 9 and scaling with the areas you explore.

What the material description doesn't tell you: Reaching Jail level 11 permanently unlocks your second weapon slot.

That milestone is pure platinum's most important upgrade gate. All 150+ confirmed world locations are tracked across MapMaster's Code Vein 2 interactive maps.

What Pure Platinum Does in Code Vein 2

Pure Platinum is used exclusively to enhance Jails. Each enhancement increases the Jail's Drain Rating (the damage and efficiency of your Drain Attack) and Ichor Capacity (how much Ichor you can carry at once).

Upgrading your Jail directly determines how many Combat Formae you can deploy in a single boss fight before running dry.

A Jail with maxed Ichor Capacity — combined with a Jail that generates Ichor efficiently on Drain Attacks — is the difference between running out of skills at half HP and maintaining offensive pressure through a boss's second phase.

The Level 11 Milestone: Unlocking Your Second Weapon Slot

Upgrading any Jail to level 11 unlocks your character's second weapon slot — arguably the most significant build-expansion in the game.

This milestone also unlocks the Another Weapon trophy. It's worth prioritising one Jail to level 11 as quickly as possible rather than spreading Pure Platinum across multiple Jails.

With the second slot active, you can equip two weapon types simultaneously and switch between them mid-combat with the D-pad.

Upgrade a Jail all the way to level 20, and the Demon Eater trophy unlocks.

Pure Platinum Tiers 1–9: Geographic Progression

Pure Platinum follows the same tier-to-geography relationship as Tender Crimson Stones: the higher the tier, the deeper into the game's regions it appears.

Tiers 1-2 concentrate on MagMell Island, the Ruins, Water Treatment Plant, and the early Sunken City shoreline — available from the first moments of the game.

Tiers 2-4 are the most numerous across the full Sunken City road network and into Corroded Scar.

Tiers 3-5 dominate Pioneer Castle — which alone holds over 15 Pure Platinum pickups, making it the densest single-dungeon source in the guide.

Tiers 5-6 spread through the Corroded Scar lower area (accessible from the middle of the region) and into the Undead Forest.

Tiers 6-8 are concentrated in the deep Undead Forest — Bureau's Castle, Ruined Town, Mountain Hamlet, Forest Complex, and Sanatorium areas.

Tiers 7-9 close out in late-game locations, including the Frontier Observation Post (the only confirmed Tier 9 location in the visible guide), Grotto Military Site, and Plagued Village: Underground Facility.

How to Get More Pure Platinum: General Customer Tokens

Like Tender Crimson Stones, Pure Platinum becomes purchasable from Jadwiga's Item Shop after buying the corresponding General Customer Token from a Jadwiga's Minion.

General Customer Tokens 01 through 05 each unlock the corresponding Pure Platinum tier for ongoing Haze purchase.

Pure Platinum is plentiful enough through normal exploration that most players end the game with multiples of every tier — but the Token system is the reliable route for targeted farming.

Immaculate Platinum Blocks: Beyond Pure Platinum 9

The final two Jail enhancement levels (+18 → +20) don't use Pure Platinum — they require Immaculate Platinum Blocks.

These can't be purchased from any shop and aren't unlocked through any Token.

Three are found in the Luna Rapacis late-game area (two require defeating Elite Enemies), and three more are in the Sealing Spire during the Upheaval Era.

Collecting all six is enough to push a +18 Jail to maximum level 20 and unlock the Demon Eater trophy.
