Borderlands 4 (BL4): Weapon Container Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Weapon Containers are the most common source of loot in Borderlands 4. Unlike the specialized Red or White Chests, this category encompasses a wide variety of lootable objects scattered across Kairos.

While they typically offer lower-tier gear than Red Chests, their sheer quantity makes them important for keeping your ammo stocked and finding upgrades during the early game.

In true Borderlands fashion, loot can be found in the most unexpected places. Weapon Containers are not hidden puzzles; they are usually found in plain sight. Keep an eye out for:

Standard Chests: Grey or green military crates.
Dumpsters: Often hide ammo and low-tier weapons.
Toilets: A classic series staple—always check the portable toilets for surprise loot.
Lockers & Cabinets: Frequently contain pistols, shields, or cash.

Unlike unique collectibles, Weapon Containers operate on a randomized system:

Not every container will appear in every run.
These containers regenerate their loot after a period of in-game time. If you revisit an area later, you can loot the same containers again for a fresh roll of gear.

Because these containers number in the hundreds and spawn randomly, having a reference for potential spawn points is the best way to maximize your loot per minute.
