Blood of Changhong is a consumable item scattered across the late-game areas of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers — a resource tied to the Feathering plague and the bloodlines of Shu's fallen.

It begins appearing as world loot from Chapter 3: Mt. Zhenwu onward and becomes the dominant pickup in the game's Ruined regions and Bo Capital endgame.

What Blood of Changhong Does

Blood of Changhong is a consumable used during play and as an offering at Shrines throughout Shu.

It is a common pickup that drops from Feathering-afflicted enemies in the Ruined areas and Bo Capital, and can be purchased from Merchants after their shops are upgraded, making world collection a supplement to merchant supply rather than a strict requirement.

It is not needed for any trophy or achievement and does not affect ending outcomes.

How to Identify the Blood of Changhong

Blood of Changhong pickups emit a faint blue glow in the environment — the same visual tell shared by most consumable world items in Shu's later areas.

In the dense corruption of the Ruined regions and Capital Entrance, the blue glow is the fastest way to spot them among the environmental debris and enemy corpses that crowd these areas.

One entry is available from the Donation Box at Reverent Temple for players with the pre-order bonus or Deluxe Edition.

Companion Items: Blood of Wangdi and Bo Blood

Blood of Changhong is one of three Blood-type items tracked across MapMaster's guides. Blood of Wangdi is the second, a related consumable tied to a different bloodline.

The largest concentrations are in Capital Entrance — 7 entries across corrupted ponds, cliff edges, cave walls, and elevator platforms — and Depths of the Capital with 5 entries across broken stairs, open clearings, extended stone bridges, and the final cave passage. Ruined Tang Emperor Palace holds 5 entries on terraces, in small rooms, and next to fallen Avian Hunter soldiers.

Ruined Reverent Temple carries 3 — by a tent, next to a courtyard corpse, and on the hill path.
