Nioh 3: Warrior's Text Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Nioh 3 has three skill capacity systems running in parallel. Samurai's Texts expand your Samurai Style capacity. Ninja's Texts expand your Ninja Style capacity. Warrior's Texts expand your Universal Skill Capacity — the pool that governs the skills shared between both combat styles.

Every Warrior's Text you find adds one permanent slot, giving you more room to equip Secret Skills from the Common category without unequipping your core loadout.

All 12+ confirmed Warriors' Text locations are included across Warring States, Heian, and Bakumatsu maps available via our Nioh 3 guide hub.

What Warrior's Texts Actually Do

The Universal Skill Capacity is the ceiling on how many Common-category active skills you can have equipped simultaneously. Common skills are the ones that don't belong exclusively to Samurai or Ninja style — they function regardless of which style you have active.

Each Warrior's Text raises that ceiling by 1. The practical effect: more room to mix and match skill loadouts without making style-specific trade-offs.

If you're short on Warrior's Texts, the alternative is Warrior's Memorandums — 4 of them give the same capacity increase as 1 Text.

The Eternal Rift Sudama sells Warrior's Memorandums for Yokai Teardrops. This makes the Eternal Rift Sudama the most consistent early source of Universal Skill Capacity before you've collected all the world-drop Texts. Texts and Memorandums stack — find both.

Three Access Situations Worth Flagging

Most Warrior's Texts are in standard Small or Large Chests inside houses, cave alcoves, and enemy camps. Three require specific conditions that aren't obvious on approach.

  • The Ryotan Temple shack (Iinoya, Warring States) has a Nurikabe blocking the path. Defeat or gesture the Nurikabe before the chest becomes accessible.

  • The Tenryu River locked house (Warring States) is accessed via the western ladder inside an adjacent structure, not through the house's front door. The chest is inside the locked house, not reachable by any other route.

  • The Sanjo eastern house (Bakumatsu) sits behind a Spirit Vein behind the Sanjo Lesser Crucible. Clear the Crucible, activate the Spirit Vein, and access the house on the upper floor.

All Warrior's Text Locations

  • Warring States (5 locations): Tenryu River house chest, Tenryu River locked house via western ladder, Futamata Road house by Enemy Base gate, Mikatagahara house at battlefield entrance, Ryotan Temple shack behind Nurikabe (Iinoya).

  • Heian (4 locations): Kamo Village house chest, Kamo Village mage ritual corpses (western side), Sagano cave south of the crow Otoroshi area, Palace Grounds Crucible flooded cave ledge corpse.

  • Bakumatsu (3 locations): Nishi Honganji Temple large chest (Shichijo), Sanjo eastern house via Lesser Crucible Spirit Vein, Kyoto Imperial Palace Crucible central spinning-traps room chest.
