Nioh 3: Six Jizo Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Walk up to some of Nioh 3's Six Jizo statues, and you can simply pray. Others need a head put back. A few want a gold donation first. Two will ambush you with a Mujina, no matter what you give them.

Of the 20 Six Jizo locations across Warring States, Heian, and Bakumatsu — all counting toward the "Visiting the Six Jizo" Bronze trophy — each falls into one of these categories, and knowing which is which saves a lot of confusion.

Every Six Jizo is marked with its exact access condition on our Nioh 3 interactive maps.

Not All Six Jizo Pray the Same Way

Standard Six Jizo just require an approach and a prayer — interact with the statue and earn your Jizo Merit. But ten of the twenty don't work that way.

Four have broken heads — Maisaka, Sagano, the first Mibu, and Kiyomizu each have a headless statue that cannot be prayed at until you find and return the missing stone head.

The heads are tracked as Key Items, and each one triggers a Mujina spawn when picked up — defeat the Mujina, carry the head back to the statue, then pray. All four broken heads and their pickup spots are cross-linked on the Key guide.

Six require a gold donation before you can pray — Lake Sanaru, Hamamatsu Hill, Iinoya, Hachijo, Shijo, and Kyoto Imperial Palace all have a donation box in front of the statues. As little as 1 Gold is enough for most. The amount beyond the minimum doesn't affect what you receive.

Mujina Ambushes: Two Locations That Bite Back

Lake Sanaru and Shirakawa are the two Six Jizo that will ambush you regardless of your offering.

At Lake Sanaru, after crossing the Spirit Vein through the pagoda hole and making your donation, a Mujina appears before you can pray — defeat it first, then interact with the statues.

At Shirakawa, the same applies. Both sites are flagged in the guide. Don't be caught with low Ki at either.

The Gold Donation System: How Much?

For the six sites that require gold: 1 Gold is enough for Hachijo, Shijo, Kyoto Imperial Palace, Lake Sanaru, and Hamamatsu Hill.

The gold requirement isn't a resource drain — it's a one-time access fee, not an ongoing cost. You don't need to donate large amounts to receive better blessings.

What Jizo Merit Buys You

Every Six Jizo interaction earns Jizo Merit, spent at any Shrine or Bodhisattva Statue for Jizo Blessings.

These buffs are built specifically for Crucible combat — particularly the Life Corrosion mechanic that shrinks your maximum HP during Lesser Crucible waves and Dark Realm encounters.

The Jizo Blessings pool includes Life Corrosion Recovery via Elixir use, increased Elixir drop rates from enemies inside Crucibles, boosted max HP recovery when activating Guardian Spirit Skills, and a direct melee damage boost inside the Crucible.

The Awawa no Tsuji Six Jizo grants notably higher Merit than standard sites — worth seeking out early in Heian for the bonus.
