Nioh 3: Bodhisattva Statue Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Nioh 3 Bodhisattva Statues are the checkpoint monuments found exclusively inside the game's story Crucibles — the Crucible equivalents of the open-world Shrines.

Together, Shrines and Bodhisattva Statues total 156 named locations. Finding all of them unlocks the Devotee Silver trophy and achievement.

Every Bodhisattva Statue is revealed with its exact Crucible coordinates on the Nioh 3 interactive maps — the checklist below tracks all locations by area.

What Are Bodhisattva Statues in Nioh 3?

Bodhisattva Statues are checkpoints found inside the Crucible. They take the place of regular Shrines and feature a golden statue. Interacting with one restores your health, replenishes Elixir charges, and sets it as your respawn point if you die in combat.

Beyond the checkpoint function, Bodhisattva Statues offer the full Shrine service menu: level up with Amrita, swap your Guardian Spirit, perform Soul Fusion with Soul Cores, access the Battle Scroll for Main Missions and Sub Missions, and restock consumables from your stockroom.

Shrines vs Bodhisattva Statues: The Key Difference

Shrines are fast travel points found throughout the four open-world eras — Warring States, Heian, Antiquity, and Bakumatsu. Bodhisattva Statues serve the same function but appear only inside the five-story Crucibles.

Both types count toward the combined 156 total required for the Devotee trophy, and both types appear on your map automatically when you enter their vicinity.

The Devotee Trophy: What Counts and What Doesn't

Only Shrines in Main Missions and on the world map count towards the trophy — those found in side quests activated via the Battle Scroll at Shrines do not.

Bodhisattva Statues found during the story Crucibles, all count. If your tracker shows a shortfall, check whether the missing entries are in side quest missions — interacting with those won't increment the counter.

Will You Miss Any? Probably Not — But Read This First

Bodhisattva Statues are always on the direct main path in plain sight. They get marked on your map automatically.

You practically walk into them without trying — they are never on side paths, and nothing is hidden. The realistic risk isn't missing a statue in the moment. It's completing the story and finding yourself at 155/156 with no obvious explanation.

There appear to be only 155 Named Shrines, even though the trophy tracker shows 156. Players reporting 155/156 who have fully explored all open-world areas should replay Main Mission: Escape from Hitoko Slope and activate the shrines there again — this has resolved the issue for multiple players.

All Bodhisattva Statue Locations

Statues are distributed across four Crucible areas. Warring States hosts the highest concentration with 7 statues across the Mikatagahara and Hamamatsu Castle Crucibles.

Heian has 4 across the Palace Grounds Crucible. Bakumatsu has 6 across Honnoji Temple and the Imperial Palace Crucibles. The Final Battle of Edo map has 6 in Edo Castle.

All Bodhisattva Statuelocations are documented on the Warring States area map, Heian interactive map, Bakumatsu map guide, and Final Battle of Edo interactive map, with exact Crucible coordinates.
