Little Nightmares III: Nome Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

All 6 Nomes in Little Nightmares III are found in the first half of one chapter. Every one of them hides somewhere in Chapter 3: Carnevale — exclusively in its opening half, before the chapter's tone shifts — and every location is recorded on MapMaster's hand-drawn Carnevale map, an exclusive resource built from scratch.

Hugging all 6 unlocks the Home Sweet Nome trophy. Find every single one in the interactive guide below, with the Little Nightmares III interactive maps linked from each entry.

What Nomes Are in Little Nightmares III

Nomes are the small, cone-hatted figures returning from the broader Little Nightmares series — skittish creatures who scurry between hiding spots and require patience or a specific trigger before they'll settle enough to be approached.

In Little Nightmares III, hugging a Nome is the collection act: walk close and press the interact button. A brief animation plays, and the Nome disappears, joining the first Nome back at the furnace room — a detail the Fandom wiki confirms is by design, with hugged Nomes gathering there progressively as each one is found.

All 6 Nomes appear in Chapter 3's opening stretch. Once the chapter transitions into its second half — where Lady Statues become the primary collectible — no further Nomes appear.

Players who have already moved past the furnace room and into Carnevale's outdoor sections haven't missed any Nomes yet. Players who are in the second half's statue areas have left the Nome zone behind and will need Chapter Select to return.

None of the 6 Nomes are permanently missable. Chapter Select is available after completing the game, allowing Carnevale to be replayed at any point.

How to Collect a Nome: The Hug Mechanic

Nomes in Little Nightmares III don't sit still waiting to be found. Most are in motion, hiding behind objects, or only emerging after a specific environmental action.

The two-step pattern across almost every entry in the guide is: trigger an event → wait for the Nome to settle → approach and hug.

Moving toward a Nome before it has settled sends it fleeing to its next hiding location, making patience the practical skill for Nome collection rather than speed.

Four Nomes That Require an Action First

  • Nome #1 — emerges and settles in front of the oven after the furnace button is pressed and the fuse is delivered. The button's location is cross-linked from the Nome's entry in the guide. Hugging it in front of the oven is the straightforward completion, but pressing the button first is the prerequisite that many players miss on their initial pass.

  • Nome #2 — hidden in the dark next to a ladder. The corridor is unlit enough that the Nome blends into the background without assistance. The Flashlight is required to reveal its position — shine it at the left wall to find the Nome in the corner. The Flashlight's pickup location on the Carnevale map is cross-linked from this Nome's entry.

  • Nome #4 — hiding under a chair in one room, it won't emerge until scared out. Approach the chair to startle it, then follow it as it darts into the corner of the next room near a drawer. That corner is where it can finally be hugged. The chair's location is cross-linked from the guide entry.

  • Nome #5 — concealed behind a piano. The Nome only emerges when the piano is played — jump on the keys and walk across them from left to right to scare it out from behind the instrument. Walking the full piano also unlocks the Stay Tuned trophy, making this single action worth two rewards simultaneously. The piano's location is cross-linked from the Nome's entry.

Nomes Are First-Half Only: The Chapter Split

Carnevale splits cleanly in two. Nomes fill the first half — the furnace room, dark corridors, outdoor areas with the chain and bathtub, and the piano room section. Lady Statues fill the second half — the outdoor wagon area, the denture pit, the table with the passed-out person, and the post-elevator corridor.

Running the chapter with awareness of this split means collecting all 6 Nomes in the walkthrough's first section, then shifting focus entirely to Dolls and Lady Statues as the chapter progresses.

Carnevale holds 10 Dolls, 6 Nomes, and 10 Lady Statues — all tracked in separate layers of the interactive map resource for a single efficient pass.

All 6 Nome Locations in Little Nightmares III

All 6 Nomes are in the first half of Carnevale, distributed across its furnace corridor, dark rooms, outdoor section, and piano area.

Nome #3 is found by a railing after pulling a lever — the lever's location is cross-linked. Nome #6 appears in a corner after pressing a button in the final room of the Nome sequence — the button is cross-linked.

Every action prerequisite is documented and linked directly from its Nome's entry in the guide below.
