Drag Racing Events in Forza Horizon 5 are the 3 quarter-mile drag strips available in Mexico — Teotihuacán Drag Strip, Aeródromo Drag Strip, and Festival Drag Strip — the shortest race events in the game and the fastest wins available for the "Racing and Pacing and Plotting the Course" Gold trophy.
All 3 are also included on our Forza Horizon 5 Mexico map.
Drag strips are part of the Street Scene outpost network. Complete the Guanajuato Expedition to build the Horizon Street Scene Outpost — the same expedition that unlocks Street Racing Events and the Born Fast story.
All three drag strips appear simultaneously on the map once the outpost is built.
"Racing and Pacing and Plotting the Course" (Gold) — win 80 different Race Events in Mexico. All 3 drag strips count toward this total alongside Road Racing, Dirt Racing, Cross Country, and Street Racing events.
At roughly 30–45 seconds per race from a standing start to quarter-mile completion, drag races are by far the shortest event type — winning all three first is the most time-efficient start to the 80-win grind.
Drag racing in Forza Horizon 5 is a 1v1 standing start — the green light drops and both cars launch simultaneously. The entire race is decided in the first two seconds:
The two most important car statistics for drag strips are Launch and Acceleration — not top speed.
A car with high launch control that reaches 100 MPH in 1.5 seconds will beat a faster car that reaches 150 MPH more slowly every time across a quarter mile.
AWD drivetrain conversions, drag tyre upgrades, and launch control tuning (raising the front suspension stiffness to transfer weight rearward on acceleration) consistently outperform road-tuned setups at the strip.
