Clair Obscur Expedition 33: Merchant Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide
In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, there are 43 Merchants who act as your primary source for high-tier Pictos, Tints, and Music Records. While you cannot sell your items, these NPCs are important for upgrading your party's power.
A unique mechanic in this game is the "Proving Ground": certain merchants will refuse to sell you their legendary stock until you defeat them in a combat challenge.
Unlike many RPGs, merchant stock in Expedition 33 does not replenish. If you buy all the potions from a merchant, they are gone forever. In the Lumiere prologue, make sure you spend your first Chroma on the Old Key.
If you skip this, several late-game areas and Journal Entries become permanently inaccessible.
As you increase your Rank with your party members at the Camp, certain merchants (specifically those of the same background as your party member) will offer a 10% to 20% discount.
The Music Records are only sold by "Artisan" merchants. Buying them allows you to change the background music at your Expedition Camp.
