Borderlands 4 (BL4): Faction Town Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Faction Towns are the largest player hubs in Borderlands 4 — three major fortified settlements across Kairos, one per region, each serving as a full base of operations between missions.

Unlike smaller Safehouses, Faction Towns offer every service a Vault Hunter needs in one location.

All three unlock automatically through Main Mission progression and cannot be missed. Every Faction Town's exact Fast Travel Station is marked on the interactive Borderlands 4 maps.

What Faction Towns Offer

Every Faction Town provides the same core set of services:

• Bank of Kairos — deposit and withdraw legendary gear, transfer items between Vault Hunters, and stash weapons for later. Gear can also be sent to the bank directly from the inventory using the Mark → Bank function without visiting in person.

• Respec Machines — reset Skill Trees to experiment with new builds. Costs Eridium.
• Lost Loot Machines — recover high-rarity items dropped in the field that didn't fit in the backpack at the time of pickup.

• Firmware Transfer Machines — transfer weapon firmware upgrades across gear or characters.

• Contract Boards — accept repeatable bounties for XP, cash, and Eridium. Boards refresh periodically and can have up to 5 contracts active simultaneously.

• Zane's Munitions Vending Machine — purchase ammo and weapons.

• Zed's Meds Vending Machine — purchase health and shield items.

Carcadia also includes an Ammo Dump Vending Machine — an additional vendor not found at the other two towns.

All Three Faction Town Locations

The Launchpad — The Howl, Fadefields. The first Faction Town is unlocked during the campaign, becoming accessible during the Down and Outbound Main Mission as part of establishing the Outbounders as allies. The Launchpad serves as the operational base for the entire Fadefields region and is the earliest point at which the Bank of Kairos becomes available.

Carcadia — Ruined Sumplands, Carcadia Burn. Found in the southeastern corner of the Ruined Sumplands. Unlocks during the Unpaid Tab Main Mission when the Electi are recruited to the Crimson Resistance. Carcadia is the hub for the entire Carcadia Burn region and includes the Ammo Dump Vending Machine, not present at the other two towns.

Belton's Bore — The Low Leys, Terminus Range. Found on the south side of The Low Leys. Unlocks at the conclusion of the Shadow of the Mountain Main Mission when the Augers join the resistance. Belton's Bore serves as the base of operations for the Terminus Range region.
