Visitor Pamphlets in Atomfall are the 5 pre-disaster publications scattered across the Windscale Quarantine Zone — tourist guides, event flyers, and local announcements from 1955 and 1956, preserved in the buildings and landmarks of a Cumbria that ceased to exist when the 1957 nuclear disaster sealed the area forever.

They carry no trophy and serve no mechanical purpose: they're the most purely atmospheric collectibles in the game, and the ones most players walk past without noticing.

Five Publications, Five Pieces of Lost Normal Life

A Guide to Cumbrian Slate

Slatten Dale, Railyard, 28.1E, 77.7N — on a shelf on the upper floor of the large Railyard building. Enter the building, climb to the upper floor, find the crawlspace in the top of the wall, squeeze through, and look for a gap to the right.

The pamphlet sits on the shelf where a lantern glows. This is the same Railyard building that houses Agravaine's Lockbox below — the two are the most efficient combined stop in the game for lore collectors and completionists.

1955 Wyndhamere Grand Prix

Wyndham Village — at the back of a washed-up boat on the beach near the Mereview Hotel. The easiest of the five to collect, visible from the waterfront path without any restricted access.

St Katherine's Church Flyer

Wyndham Village — on the table on the upper floor of a building adjacent to the church.

A routine church notice from two years before the quarantine, now one of the more poignant lore items in the village.

Remembrance Day Service 1956

Wyndham Village — on the steps behind the war memorial monument in the village.

The 1956 date places it one year before the disaster: a ceremony honouring the fallen from the Second World War, unaware that the same village would be sealed off within twelve months.

Casterfell Woods - Official Guide

Casterfell Woods — on a bench at the highest point of the viewpoint overlooking the woods. The longest journey of all five, requiring climbing to the area's highest accessible elevation.

Pre-disaster Casterfell Woods was, by this pamphlet's account, a walking destination recommended to Cumbrian tourists — not the Druid-controlled wilderness it has since become.

Period Detail: The Lore Value of the Dates

The 1955 Grand Prix and the 1956 Remembrance Day Service bracket the final years of civilian normality in the Windscale area.

The real Windscale Fire occurred on October 10, 1957 — making these pamphlets the record of a community that had perhaps one more year of ordinary life after the Remembrance Day service was printed.
