Atomfall: Garden Gnome Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Garden Gnomes in Atomfall are the 15 ceramic garden ornaments hidden throughout Wyndham Village — a folk horror Easter egg that turns the most English of decorative traditions into an achievement hunt.

Destroy 10 of the 15 to unlock the "Orna Mental" (Bronze) trophy. All 15 locations, with exact descriptions for the hardest to find, are included on our Wyndham Village interactive map.

Destroy, Don't Collect: How Garden Gnomes Work

Garden Gnomes in Atomfall are not picked up — they're destroyed. Walk up to any gnome and either punch it with empty hands or hit it with a melee weapon.

The gnome shatters and emits a distinctly high-pitched squeal that confirms the destruction has been registered toward the "Orna Mental" trophy counter.

That sound is your only confirmation — no notification, no on-screen pop-up until the trophy unlocks at 10.

The Protocol Soldier Problem

Every destruction method carries a risk in Wyndham Village. Punching while a Protocol soldier is nearby can register as a hostile act and trigger combat.

Firing a gun — even at a gnome — will absolutely trigger nearby soldiers. The recommended approach for every gnome near an NPC or soldier patrol route:

• Wait for the soldier to turn away or move to the far end of their route
• Use empty-handed punch only — the least likely to accidentally hit a soldier or be interpreted as a threat
• Never use a firearm inside village boundaries for any reason while pursuing gnomes

All 15 Gnome Locations

Easy access (no special navigation):

• Outside the front door of a boarded-up house on the main path from the Slatten Dale entrance
• On a sofa next to the hotel
• Under the bench inside a covered building
• In front of a mound of dirt near the Mill Grounds bomb shelter
• On a windowsill on the north side of the village
• On a bench in front of a hut near the unused DLC doorway
• On a picnic table in a grassy clearing
• Tucked into the corner of a building exterior near the boathouse area
• Between two buildings next to a stairwell in the village centre
• Beside the bridge over the eastern stream
• Next to a barrel opposite the Grendel's Head entrance
• Beside a wheelbarrow near the Wyndham Village Shop entrance

Requiring specific access:

• The Little Tea Room gnome — on the windowsill of the Little Tea Room in the village centre. The room itself is Protocol-restricted; entering triggers hostility. The gnome is reachable by punching it from outside through the window without stepping inside. Stand at the window, aim at the gnome, and punch.

• St Katherine's Church roof gnome — the hardest location in the village. Enter the church, climb the internal staircase all the way to the top floor, then use the ladder to access the roof. The gnome sits on the ledge at the top. Crows may become aggressive if the player lingers on the church roof.

• The garage gnome — in the garage near the Skethermoor entrance at the southeast corner of Wyndham Village. The garage entrance faces the wrong direction for direct access. Vault over the yellow gate, then climb the brick wall to enter from behind the building. Inside, the gnome is on the ground next to a wicker basket alongside other loot.

No Reward for Finding All 15

The "Orna Mental" trophy requires exactly 10 destroyed gnomes. There is no additional in-game reward, loot, or achievement for destroying the remaining 5 beyond personal satisfaction.

The 5 hardest gnomes (church roof, garage, Little Tea Room, plus two requiring precise navigation) can be left unsmashed once the trophy pops at 10.

The gnome routes through Wyndham cover most of the village thoroughly — a natural opportunity to pick up Findings, loot containers, and speak to NPCs simultaneously.
