Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Trinket Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Trinkets in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced are the equippable passive perks that replace the outfit-based buff system of the original 2013 game — small accessories that give Edward Kenway persistent combat, exploration, and economy advantages with no stats investment required.


Two Trinkets can be equipped simultaneously, allowing paired builds. All Trinket locations are fully visible on Map Master's Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced interactive maps.


Entirely New to Resynced: How the System Works


Trinkets did not exist in the original Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag — perks were locked to specific Outfits, meaning players had to sacrifice appearance for function.


Resynced separates perks from appearance entirely: Outfits are now purely cosmetic, and Trinkets carry all passive effects independently. Equip any two from the inventory at any time, swap them freely between encounters, and stack their bonuses.


Trinket rarity does not correlate directly with power. Several Rare Trinkets — Exotic Sea Shells, Narwhal's Horn, and Lodestone — outperform many Legendary options in practical use. The rarity label indicates acquisition difficulty more than combat value.


Six Acquisition Methods


Secret Chests (Special Chests in the world):

  • Diamond Trinket (Cape Bonavista, underwater under the southern Viewpoint)
  • Gold Earring (Salt Key Bank, underwater at the bottom of the southern waterfall)
  • Exotic Sea Shells (Havana Secret #1, southern courtyard chest at 213, 568)


World exploration:

  • Narwhal's Horn (Cat Island, Beckford's Manor, 2nd floor on a cupboard at 706, 664)
  • Redbull Stormrunner Pendant (Caribbean Sea, east of Nassau, coordinates 615, 767, near large corals — increases healing from food, drink, and remedies)
  • Guardian Beast Trinket (from solving the Treasure Map obtained during Local Event "Smelly Sailors" at Havana coordinates 225, 573 → solution at unmarked island in Dry Tortuga, 356, 701 — health slowly regenerates while out of combat)


General Stores:

  • Lodestone (Great Inagua, 7,000 Reales, requires General Store Level 2 — automatically loots nearby corpses and curios)
  • Shark Teeth (Great Inagua, 25,000 Reales, requires General Store Level 3, Legendary — Brutes cannot deny Chain Takedowns, the single most impactful combat Trinket for difficult fights)


Treasure Dealer, Great Inagua:

  • Hunter's Amulet (Rare — requires Restored Digested Map assembled from White Jaguar fragments at Great Inagua 811, 436 — reduces animals' detection range, pairs with any hunting session)
  • Wooden Eyeball (Legendary — requires Restored Preserved Map assembled from Warehouse fragments — quick pistol shots kill Brutes instantly)
  • Black Pearl (Legendary — 5,000 Reales + 60 Wine + 40 Spice + 30 Tobacco + 20 Aloe — takedown chain to one more enemy, best paired with Shark Teeth)


Quest and contract rewards:

  • Found Coin (Rare, Great Inagua, Art Lover Part 1 at 15 Art Pieces — increases Reales gained)
  • Hidden Ones Sigil (Legendary — complete 15 of 30 Assassin Contracts — enemies' detection time increased while crouched)
  • Rabbit's Foot (Common — complete Templar Hunt Opía Apito at 304, 311 — chance of staggering enemy after a successful parry)
  • Small Goblet (Rare — complete all Officer Quests for The Padre, starting "A Second Chance" in Caracol — increases healing)
  • Jackdaw Totem (Legendary — complete the "A World Without Gold" questline after Sequence 11)


DLC:

  • Brass Bird Trinket (Rope Dart cooldown shorter — Master Assassin Character Pack, Cape Bonavista)
  • Blackbeard's Trinket (kills further reduce enemy morale — Master Assassin Naval Pack, Cape Bonavista)
  • Abyssal Pendant (heals on every kill — Sea Serpent Pack)
  • Fortunate Circle Charm (brief damage immunity after perfect dodge — Dragon Storm Character Pack)


Recommended Pairings


Early game: Diamond Trinket + Exotic Sea Shells — the two most impactful early Trinkets, both accessible in the first three Sequences. Diamond removes the oxygen pressure from mandatory underwater quest sections; Exotic Sea Shells halves the animal grinding needed for Health and Holster upgrades.


Combat build: Shark Teeth + Black Pearl — Brutes cannot deny Chain Takedowns, and each takedown chains to one additional enemy. The combination turns the game's most dangerous enemies into the easiest crowd-control opportunity in dense fights.


Stealth build: Hidden Ones Sigil + Gold Earring — extended crouched detection window alongside reduced Wanted Level accumulation from piracy, covering both land stealth and naval aggression.

Rabbit's FootCayman Sound

Rabbit's Foot is a common Trinket you'll automatically obtain after completing The Taino Assassin Templar Hunt on Cayman Sound.


Trinket Description:

  • A lucky charm for warding off misfortune.


Trinket Perks:

  • Chance of staggering an enemy following a successful parry.
Brass Bird TrinketCape Bonavista

The Brass Bird Trinket is obtained at the start of the game. It is part of the Master Assassin Character Pack, which can be purchased independently or as part of the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Deluxe Edition.


Trinket Description:

  • Kenway's lucky brass charm, linked to his iconic ship.


Trinket Perk:

  • Rope Dart cooldown is shorter.
Blackbeard's TrinketCape Bonavista

Blackbeard's Trinket is obtained at the start of the game. It is part of the Master Assassin Naval Pack, which can be purchased independently or as part of the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Deluxe Edition.


Trinket Description:

  • A lucky charm for the predator who stalked the seas.


Trinket Perk:

  • Kills further reduce enemy morale.
Exotic Sea ShellsHavana

The Exotic Sea Shells Trinket is obtained by looting the southern Havana City secret chest.


Trinket Description:

  • A string of seashells gathered from around the world.


Trinket Perks:

  • Increases the wildlife products gained from skinning animals.
Diamond TrinketCape Bonavista

To locate this special trinket, jump down from the southern Cape Bonavista Viewpoint. Once you hit the water, dive directly underneath your landing spot to find a large chest containing the item.


Trinket Description:

  • This diamond trinket is as tough as nails and as hard as a rock.


Trinket Perk:

  • Oxygen drains slower while diving underwater.
Gold EarringSalt Key Bank

To locate the Gold Earring Trinket, look for the underwater special chest at the bottom of the waterfall on the southern side of Salt Key Bank, outside the village.


Trinket Description:

  • Gold hoop earrings stolen from a lady with connections in high places.


Trinket Perk:

  • Reduces the gain of Wanted Level from acts of piracy.
Redbull Stormrunner PendantCaribbean Sea

The Stormrunner Pendant by Redbull is a Rare Trinket you can find east of Nassau. Look for it at coordinates 615, 767, near some large corals.


Trinket Description:

  • A lightweight pendant painted in striking blue and red pigments. Its design captures the spirit of relentless motion and high adrenaline, carried by travellers who refuse to tire, whether sprinting through crowded markets or scaling towering keeps.


Trinket Perk:

  • Increases the amount of healing from food, drink, and remedies.
Narwhal's HornCat Island

The Narwhal's Horn Trinket is found inside Beckford's Manor on Cat Island. Look for it on the second floor of the manor, on a book that is placed on a cupboard.


Trinket Description:

  • The broken tip of a narwhal horn.


Trinket Perk:

  • Attacks break through enemy defenses faster.
LodestoneGreat Inagua

The Lodestone Trinket can be purchased from any General Store for 7,000 Reales. To unlock it, you have to purchase the Great Inagua General Store Lvl. 2.


Trinket Description:

  • A naturally magnetized piece of mineral.


Trinket Perk:

  • Loots nearby Corpses and Curios automatically.
Shark TeethGreat Inagua

The Shark Teeth Legendary Trinket can be purchased from any General Store for 25,000 Reales. To unlock it, you have to purchase the Great Inagua General Store Lvl. 3.


Trinket Description:

  • A symbol of fierceness and reckless bravery.


Trinket Perk:

  • Brutes cannot deny Chain Takedowns.
Found CoinGreat Inagua

Related Quest: The Art Lover Part 1 Side Quest


The Found Coin Trinket is a reward you'll obtain by completing the Art Lover Part 1 Side Quest in Great Inagua, once you find 15 Art Pieces.


Trinket Description:

  • A large gold coin turned into a good luck charm.


Trinket Perk:

  • Increase the amount of Reales gained.
Lock of HairGreat Inagua

The Lock of Hair Trinket is obtained in Great Inagua after completing the Wayward Souls Rift Challenge.


Trinket Description:

  • A lock of Caroline's hair kept as a lucky keepsake.


Trinket Perk:

  • Restore some health after a perfect parry.
Folded PalmHavana

The Folded Palm Trinket is obtained in Havana after completing the Spiteful Soldier Local Event.


Trinket Description:

  • A gambler's trinket meant to bring good fortune.


Trinket Perk:

  • Gain reales after each Takedown.
Anchor MedallionSacrifice Island

The Anchor Medallion Trinket is found on Sacrifice Island. Look for it inside a Special Chest in the southwestern Mayan tower overlooking the coast.


Trinket Description:

  • A lucky anchor medallion favored by sharp-eyed sailors.


Trinket Perk:

  • Perk: Increases the rewards from floating loot.
Guardian Beast TrinketCaribbean Sea

The Guardian Beast Trinket is found in the underwater Dry Tortuga Treasure Chest at coordinates 356,701. Look for the chest on the sea floor, but make sure you avoid the sea urchins. The location of the chest and the trinket is revealed by the Havana Treasure Map you'll find during the Smelly Sailors Local Event in Havana.


Trinket Description:

  • Rendered in miniature, that its gaze might ward the steps of its keeper across land and sea.


Trinket Perk:

  • Health slowly regenerates while out of combat.
Templar CrossGreat Inagua

Related Quest: Damn Fine Gear


This legendary trinket is unlocked by completing the "Damn Fine Gear" quest. You must hunt down several Templar targets to retrieve a total of four keys, which are then used to unlock the caged skeleton inside your room at the Great Inagua Manor.

 

Requirements:

  • Complete the side quest Damn Fine Gear
  • Hunt down templars in the "Templar Hunt" quests.


Trinket Description:

  • A legendary and highly valuable trinket forged in the shape of the secret Templar symbol.

 

Trinket Perks:

  • Reduce damage from enemy melee attacks.
