Four Red Feather tiers cover the complete Mastery upgrade path from +1 to +10:

• Faint Red Feather — Mastery +1 to +3 (Chapter 1: Worship's Rise)
• Brilliant Red Feather — Mastery +4 to +6 (Chapter 2: Cloudspire onward)
• Radiant Red Feather — Mastery +7 to +9 (Chapter 3–4: Mt. Zhenwu and Ruined areas)
• Lustrous Red Feather — Mastery +10, the maximum level (one per weapon class, boss, and world drops)

This makes early investment reversible — but it also means feathers converted to a completed +6 node are still "spent" until a respec is triggered.

Wu Gang's shop is the fastest single source. Find the Used Mortar in the Shaft Entrance and deliver it to Wu Gang to unlock 10 Brilliant Red Feathers for purchase at 1,400 Red Mercury each.

With 12 needed for a full upgrade, combining the shop stock with 2 world pickups completes a weapon class efficiently.

Elite enemies in Chapter 2, with a blue-purple smoke haze and glowing red eyes, are guaranteed Brilliant Red Feather drops. These are one-time encounters — they do not respawn.
