Silent Hill f: Costume Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Silent Hill f gives Hinako Shimizu three outfits to wear through Ebisugaoka's fog — one included in every version of the game and two tied to specific purchase editions. All three are purely cosmetic with no effect on stats, damage, or gameplay. Every unlocked costume is accessible from the very start of any playthrough and appears on Hinako in both gameplay and cutscenes. All three are tracked on the Silent Hill f interactive maps.

All Three Silent Hill f Costumes

  • Navy Sailor School Uniform — Hinako's default outfit, included in the base game for every player on all platforms and editions. This is the costume used in all official trailers and promotional materials, and the one most players will associate with the game's visual identity.

  • White Sailor School Uniform — a lighter variant of the default school uniform, available as a pre-order bonus for any edition of Silent Hill f. This costume was time-limited: the pre-order window closed on or around the game's launch on September 25, 2025. Players who did not pre-order before that date cannot obtain this outfit — there is no in-game method to unlock it and no official alternative route.

Pink Rabbit Costume — the most visually distinctive outfit, with rabbit ears and a pink aesthetic that contrasts sharply with the game's atmosphere. Unlocked by purchasing the Silent Hill f Deluxe Edition or the separate Deluxe Upgrade available post-launch. Unlike the White Sailor Uniform, the Pink Rabbit Costume remains obtainable — any player who upgrades from the Standard to the Deluxe Edition at any time can access it.

How to Equip and Change Costumes

Costumes are selected at two points in the game. When starting a New Game or New Game+, the outfit selection screen appears immediately after the difficulty settings — choosing a costume here means Hinako wears it from the opening scene.

This is the only way to have the costume active from the very beginning of a run.

During an active playthrough, costumes are changed by visiting any Hokora shrine and selecting the Change Costume option from the shrine menu. The change takes effect immediately, and the new outfit appears in gameplay and any subsequent cutscenes.

There is no menu option for costume changes outside of Hokora interactions — finding the nearest shrine is always required for a mid-run switch.

Costumes and Cutscenes

One detail worth knowing before committing to an outfit: the chosen costume is fully reflected in all cutscenes throughout the playthrough. Players who want to experience the story as Konami presented it in promotional materials should use the Navy Sailor School Uniform for their first run.

Players on repeat playthroughs — of which Silent Hill f requires at least three for 100% completion — may prefer to vary the outfit per run to keep subsequent playthroughs visually distinct.

Pairing different costumes with different Omamori configurations per run is a common approach for players tracking completion across all three playthroughs via the Trophy guide.
