Revenge of the Savage Planet: Region Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Regions in Revenge of the Savage Planet are the 42 named areas and sub-areas whose Kindex entries unlock automatically the moment you step inside — no scanner needed, making this the only Kindex category completed by walking rather than scanning.

The catch: several entries belong to hidden sub-areas and post-story zones that story progression never touches.

All 42 are included and available for live tracking on our Revenge of the Savage Planet maps.

The Easy Majority

Every main zone — from Pfyzzich Beach through the Summit — registers on arrival, and the story routes through most of them.

Even the Habitat carries its own Region entry, unlocked during the opening hours in Nu Florida. If the campaign has been finished, roughly three-quarters of this category is already done.

The Hidden Sub-Areas That Stall 99% Runs

Three optional pockets account for most missing Region entries:

• Scuttling Grotto — northern Chuggler's Swamp, behind a tunnel sealed by Blobulous mushrooms (clear them with the whip). Nothing in the story ever sends you this far north, which is precisely why it goes unfound.

• Spiderlings' Hollow — Slarragon Forest, widely considered the most awkward entrance in the game: greyed out on the map, aggressively defended, and realistically reachable only after tether or jump upgrades.

• Stone Aerie — a small cave inside G'Nortt's High Rise that first serves as a mountain shortcut. Its interior secrets sit under webs and amber, demanding both the lava-filled Goo Ingestor and Blight Bombs — a deliberate return-visit area.

Slappi's Seven: The Post-Story Entries

Seven Region entries — the Vestibule, Throne Room, and the Shrines of Pressure, Timing, Grind, Combat, and Challenge — all sit inside Slappi's Den of Fun, the unmapped linear finale entered via the Interstellar Enigma questline.

Entering every shrine and the Den itself registers all seven automatically; the Shrine of Combat doubles as the home of all seven Corrupt Creatures, so bring the scanner even though the Region entries don't need it.

One community-verified quirk: the Shrine of Pressure can also register early on Stellaris Prime, behind a metallic wall near the Hognork arena.

If the Map and Kindex Disagree

Early versions showed leftover scannable markers on region maps even at 100% Kindex — a display bug patched in later updates, with the map now aligned to actual Kindex state.

On a current version, a region showing missing scannables genuinely has something left; on a launch-era save, cross-check against the Kindex percentages before hunting a phantom.
