Purple studs are the rarest currency in the game and are never left out in the open.
They are strictly reserved for completing complex environmental puzzles, surviving high-altitude platforming challenges, or discovering highly obscured breakable structures.
- The Multiplier Synergy: While grabbing a purple stud is great on its own, collecting them while your Red Brick Score Multipliers (x2, x4, x6, x8, x10) are active is the best method for earning billions of studs in a single level run.
- The Purple Stud Detector Rule: Because these studs are completely hidden from plain sight, unlocking and toggling the Stud Detector extra is highly recommended. It is a huge help, placing small onscreen arrows that point directly to the exact hidden alcove or high ledge containing the prize.
- Character-Specific Vaults: Many purple studs are locked behind barriers that only specific villains can bypass. Keeping Joker’s Electric Buzzer ready for power generators or the Riddler’s Mind Control primed for trapped civilians is required to crack open these high-value vaults.
