Forza Horizon 6: Matcha Mascot Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

The 25 Matcha Mascots in Forza Horizon 6 are the food-themed collectibles of the Takashiro Region — serene bowls of green tea hidden among ancient temples, tea plantations, and the mountain roads that inspired some of Japan's most legendary driving culture.

Takashiro is home to Mt. Haruna, the real-world mountain behind the fictional passes of Initial D, and its wide, sweeping roads make the mascot hunt here one of the most enjoyable in the game.

Every Matcha you smash earns 5,000 CR and 25 Discover Japan Points. The full set of 25 nets 125,000 CR and 625 Discover Japan Points, feeding into your Takashiro regional stamp progress and the broader goal of collecting all 200 Regional Mascots across Japan's nine regions.

The complete 200-mascot haul earns 1,000,000 CR, 5,000 Discover Japan Points, and 20 progressive milestone rewards.

Takashiro Discovery Rewards

Smashing Matcha Mascots contributes to your Takashiro regional discovery progress, unlocking the following milestones:

  • 750 Points: Matcha Mascot Outfit
  • 1,000 Points: Matcha Mascot Car Horn
  • 1,500 Points: 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR — the iconic rally homologation legend and one of the most revered AWD machines ever built. Worth noting: this same Evo III is also available as a free Treasure Car, parked beside a waterfall in the far western corner of Takashiro near the Waterfall Trail event — so you can claim it either way
  • 2,000 Points: 150,000 CR + 2 Super Wheelspins

Hunting Tips

Takashiro is deceptively large, but the roads are clean and wide enough for speed. A fast GT or sports car is the right choice here — use the excellent sightlines to your advantage and treat this as a scenic mop-up run rather than a careful crawl.

Mascots only appear as purple face icons on your minimap once you're nearby, so pre-planning from the checklist below is more efficient than free-roaming across such a large region.

While you're in Takashiro, it's worth stacking your Discover Japan Points alongside the mascot hunt — the region is dense with activities, including the Mt. Haruna Drift Zone, several Dirt Racing Events, and the Waterfall Trail near the Evo III's location.

All 25 locations are pinned on our FH6 Japan game map.
