Forza Horizon 6: Treasure Car Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

There are 9 Treasure Cars in Forza Horizon 6 — one free vehicle hidden per region across Japan's map, available to collect from the very start of the game with no progression requirement and no Credits needed.

They cannot be bought from the Autoshow, won from a Wheelspin, or earned through events — the world map is the only way to get them.

Finding all nine unlocks the Treasure Hunter achievement and the Lost and Found badge.

How the System Works

Explore each region until the game notifies you that a clue is available. You can find it under the Treasure Cars tile in the Cars section of the pause menu.

Instead of giving you a vague search radius, the game provides a postcard photo of the car's surroundings — showing just enough of the environment to narrow down the area, without marking the exact location.

Once you find the car, drive up to it, hit the collect prompt, watch a short cutscene, and it's added to your garage immediately. No restoration timer, no rank gate, no waiting.

How Treasure Cars Differ From Barn Finds

The two systems look similar from the outside — both involve hidden cars, both are part of the Discover Japan exploration — but they're completely separate.

Barn Finds require the Discover Japan Stamp progression to unlock search rumours, and a restoration timer once found. Treasure Cars have neither.

You can collect all nine in the opening hours if you explore methodically.

Treasure Cars Hunting Tips

  • When you're in the approximate area and can't see the car, switch to Drone Mode — a purple icon appears on the map when you're close enough.

  • The Ford GT (Nangan) and Porsche 959 (Shimanoyama) are the two most likely to waste your time — use landmark descriptions rather than the in-game clue photos for those two. The Nissan Safari at the Ito Wind Farm is the easiest to spot once you're in the area.

  • Spend a Skill Point on each Treasure Car's mastery tree immediately after collecting it — each one pays out 10,000 XP.

  • Several Treasure Cars share their region with the reward car from the local mascot set — if you're already hunting Mascots, you can collect both in the same pass.

All 9 locations are pinned on our interactive map, with exact coordinates and additional details in the checklist below.
