Forza Horizon 5 PlayStation: Barn Find Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Fourteen legendary cars are hidden across Mexico in Forza Horizon 5 — and not one of them is found the way anything else in the game is found.

Barn Finds in Forza Horizon 5 require a Rumour before the barn can even be opened: a purple circle appearing on your Mexico map that marks the general area of a barn containing a legendary vehicle awaiting restoration.

All 14 confirmed barn locations are docummented with exact coordinates on MapMaster's Forza Horizon 5 interactive maps.

The Trophy: Better Than New

"Better Than New" (Bronze PS5 trophy) — find and fully restore all 14 Barn Finds. Finding the barn triggers the cutscene; the car then enters a restoration queue.

The trophy requires the restoration to complete, not just the discovery. Most cars take a few hours of in-game time, but the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO — the final unlock — takes weeks to fully restore.

The in-game option to pay credits and rush a restoration exists, but is strongly not recommended for the Ferrari: the cost runs into millions of credits that are better spent on Player Houses and Fast Travel Boards. Play normally, and the notification will arrive.

How Barn Find Rumours Unlock

Rumours trigger automatically through story progression — racing events, completing Expeditions, and purchasing houses all contribute. Two Barn Finds have specific unlock conditions:

  • 1991 Jaguar Sport XJR-15 — only accessible after completing the Jungle Expedition (Horizon Wilds). Ramiro leads you to an abandoned airstrip in the jungle, and the Jaguar is found behind a fence outside the airport at the end of the expedition. The Jaguar XJR-15 gets an entire Expedition dedicated to finding it — if the barn prompt doesn't trigger on approach, complete the expedition first.

  • 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO — the 14th and final Barn Find. The Rumour only triggers after purchasing La Cabaña (150,000 credits), a player house in the northwest of the map. This house must be purchased regardless of the Mogul trophy, making it a natural mid-game purchase.

The 15/14 Counter Quirk

There are technically 15 Barn Finds in Forza Horizon 5 — the 15th being the story-mandatory Vocho (Volkswagen Beetle) discovered at the very start of the game during the Vocho story missions.

The game's loading screen will display "15/14 collected" after all 14 tracked Barn Finds are found and restored. This is intentional, not a bug.

Finding the Barn: Use Drone Mode

Once a Rumour places the purple circle on the map, the barn itself is still hidden.

Each barn building has white exterior walls and a wooden double door at the front. Activating Drone Mode (from the pause menu photo settings) and flying over the area at height is by far the fastest way to spot the white-walled structure in forests, valleys, and fields.

The drone's bird's-eye view reveals buildings that are completely invisible from road level.
