Accolades in Forza Horizon 5 are the game's entire progression system — 2,237 challenges across 22 categories rewarding 1,143,250 total Accolade Points, and the currency that unlocks every section of Horizon Adventure.
Reaching 200,000 Accolade Points admits you into the Hall of Fame, completing the campaign.
MapMaster's Accolade guide tracks the most location-specific, missable, and frequently searched challenges: story race shortcuts, photography objectives, Expedition collectibles, object-smashing milestones, speed records, and timed cross-city drives.
All confirmed locations are pinned on the Forza Horizon 5 Mexico map.
Five Accolades unlocked by finding hidden shortcuts during specific Horizon Story races. These are the most commonly missed Accolades in the game since the shortcuts aren't marked and are easy to blow past.
The table above documents the exact point in each race and the direction of the hidden turn for: Rude Introductions, Rudo, Rudo VS Rudo, Rudísimo, and Revelos Increíbles.
Seven Accolades requiring photographs of specific statues across Mexico during El Camino story chapters. One critical rule applies to every single photography Accolade: your car must appear in the frame alongside the statue.
A photo of the statue alone will not register. Use D-Pad Up and Cross (PS5) / D-Pad Up and A (Xbox) to open Photo Mode while parked in front of the subject.
The most varied category, requiring specific objects in specific quantities: 25 lanterns during Chinese New Year (Toyota AT38 required), 100 solar panels (1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX required), 30 traffic cones, 25 football goal posts, 10 parasols within 45 seconds, 10 beach flags (1963 Volkswagen Type 2 required), 10 ladders (2000 Ford SVT Cobra R required), and 50 piñatas.
Several of these are most efficiently completed via Creative Hub Event Lab community share codes — the codes and step-by-step access method (Creative Hub > Event Lab > Event Blueprints > Search > Share Code) are documented in each entry.
Accolades embedded inside the game's seven Expeditions: collecting lake samples, placing seismometers, smashing steam vents, photographing statues, placing radio beacons, and retrieving collectible boxes from aircraft hangars.
Completing all Accolades in any single Expedition earns the "No Stone Unturned" PS5 trophy. The Jungle Expedition also holds the Barn Find notes Accolade ("Lost Barn Find Notes") and is where Ramiro's classic car is first discovered.
Three record-based challenges: Speedzilla (reach a specific speed on a specific highway section), Speed of Light (drive above 250 MPH during a Road Racing Event — requires a Koenigsegg), and Wild Truck / Special Delivery (win Cross Country and Street Racing Events in a truck — the 2014 Mercedes-Benz Unimog U5023 is recommended for both).
Linked Showcase events also contain smashing and skill-scoring Accolades during the Buggy and the Beast event.
Urban Treasure Hunt (drive from Estadio Jose Aguilar to Universidad de Guanajuato in under 90 seconds) and Change of Scenery (Gran Pantano to Guanajuato under 90 seconds).
Both are best completed with a hypercar; the 2015 Ultima Evolution Coupe 1020 is recommended in the table entries for both.
All button instructions throughout this guide are written for Xbox controllers.
For PS5 players: Cross (✕) = Xbox A · Square (□) = Xbox X · Circle (○) = Xbox B · R1 = Xbox RB · L2 = Xbox LT.
To access Event Lab share codes on PS5, open the pause menu, press R1 to go to Creative Hub, select Event Lab, then Event Blueprints, and use the Search function to enter the share code.
