Forza Horizon 5 PlayStation: Showcase Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Showcase Events in Forza Horizon 5 are the 7 cinematic set-pieces where conventional racing logic is abandoned — four in Mexico pit a car against a cargo plane, a hovercraft, a canyon jet, and monster trucks, while three in Sierra Nueva are one-on-one team champion races against the captains of the Apex Predators, Grit Reapers, and Horizon Raptors.

Two Trophies, One Critical Distinction

• "Adaptable" (Bronze, 98.42% completion) — complete "On a Wing and a Prayer." This is the second objective of the game — it appears immediately after the opening drive. Crucially, you only need to finish the event, not win it. The trophy fires on completion regardless of finishing position.

• "Putting on a Show" (Bronze, only 10.83% completion rate) — win every Showcase Event. Only the 4 Mexico Showcases count — the Sierra Nueva Champion Races are not included. Must WIN each (not merely complete), and all 4 must be won across the playthrough for the trophy to unlock. At 10.83%, this is one of the rarest non-online base game trophies in Forza Horizon 5.

The Four Mexico Showcases: Opponents and Unlock Sources

• On a Wing and a Prayer — unlocks at game start, the second mandatory story objective. Race against a cargo plane and two wingsuit-equipped dirt bikers across Mexico's coastal terrain. Required for "Adaptable" (complete only); required for "Putting on a Show" (must win).

• Flood, Sweat and Gears — unlocks as the third ticket in the Dirt Racing outpost line-up after completing the Jungle Expedition (Horizon Wilds Outpost). Race against a hovercraft through flooded jungle and river terrain.

• Buggy and the Beast — unlocks as the second ticket in the Cross Country outpost line-up after completing the Baja Expedition (Horizon Baja Outpost). Race against monster trucks, then complete a stadium bowling bonus phase.

• Catch Me If You Canyon — unlocks as the second ticket in the PR Stunts outpost line-up after completing the Canyon Expedition (Horizon Rush Outpost). Race against a jet fighter through the canyon.

The Buggy and the Beast Warning: Complete Both Phases

Buggy and the Beast is the only two-part Showcase in the game. After winning the monster truck race, a bowling stadium bonus phase begins automatically.

The bonus phase must be completed — finishing the first race without seeing through the bowling phase leaves the event marked incomplete, causing "Putting on a Show" to stick at 75% with no further progress. Multiple reports confirm this.

Additionally, play in Quality mode rather than Performance mode (Pause → Settings → Video) to avoid a known Showcase completion bug that prevents the trophy from triggering even when all 4 are completed correctly.

The Three Sierra Nueva Champion Races

The Sierra Nueva Showcases are the final confrontations of each team's progression at Tier 8:

• The Apex Run — one-on-one vs Alejandra (Apex Predators), racing on asphalt across Sierra Nueva's road routes in UTVs.
• Desafio — one-on-one vs Ramiro (Grit Reapers), a night rally stage.
• Raptor Race! — one-on-one vs Alex (Horizon Raptors), a dirt rally in classic rally cars.

None of the Sierra Nueva Champion Races contribute to "Putting on a Show."
